Video Dennis Allen has the locker room fired up after win vs. Browns (3 Viewers)

These guys love DA, he’s not losing that locker room, if that would happen he would’ve lost the defense as the DC.

Every single guy in that locker room knows they haven’t played up to their standard this season, and they’re starting to feel better with 2 wins in a row. Look for them to come out fired up next week.
They do love him that’s evident, but it’s also evident that he’s still a terrible head coach like he was in Oakland and he has been here.

Some people just aren’t meant to be a Hc. He’s for sure one of those

A victory over a team that wanted to be there even less than you did and was looking for any opportunity to quit. But yea Lily Allen whatever you say big boy NFL football.
What made Loomis look at this clown and say “ yea this is the guy “ ?
I’m also tired of hearing what a great DC he is. What the hell has he ever done without Payton holding his hand ?
I'm thinking more and more that Loomis himself has to be fired as well before this team starts truly getting back on track. I hate to be saying that because Loomis has been really good for a long time.

This has been stated way too many times. Since when did NFL head coaches become this choosy about employment? There are only 32 of these jobs, and the ones that are open are indeed of the “S*** show” variety. Unless you’re someone like Hall of Famer Sean Payton, you’re getting in wherever you can.ciaches

I think the SP situation has given many a false impression on how coaching searches go. This isn’t a free agent recruiting visit.

Thank you. Was about to post this same thing. No coordinator (probably the route we would go) is gonna turn down the Saints because it's "too hard". That's what most coaches thrive on anyway.

I don't think he's saved his job. We're likely to get rolled next week, and then you have the final game in front of a half-empty dome. If we win both, he probably stays. If we lose both, he probably goes. If we split, it depends, but I'm guessing they keep him.

I enjoy seeing the team fired up, even on a bad team you don’t want to see them adopt a culture of losing. Wins don’t come easy in this league, and these guys know it.

Whether Allen stays or goes, I hope we never get to the point where the team just doesn’t care, that’s hard to repair.

In my opinion, the only way DA saves his job is if he beats Philadelphia.
Sweeping the Falcons didn’t change public sentiment.
Beating the Browns didn’t change perception.
Heck, even changing the trajectory of the season from the Baghead Era to a season on the same level of ‘14-‘16 didn’t change anything.
6-11 gets him fired.

Public perception or sentiment doesn't have anything to do with it.

DA is not going to be fired after this year.

It's simply not going to happen unless CSP shows up and asks for his job back.

Public perception does matter when they try to sell season tickets.
DA’s name is toxic and that 13 and whatever record will follow him.

I’m starting to lean that way myself and it pains me to say that also. Especially after passing on guys like Pederson for this imposter. Sometimes you can overthink things but it’s starting to look like there was no thought at all put into replacing Payton.

He could show he still has some fire in the belly by moving on from this coattail rider ASAP though.
Agree, I always suspected their loyalty to the SP era would give DA at least two years, may be long years...

I can see one argument to keep DA.
Since the division will be even weaker next year, I can see the FO give him one more season. If he does manage to win it and the Saints host a playoff game next year, he’s here to stay.
If it’s a repeat of ‘22, he’s gone.
That’s my only thought, but I’m leaning to DA going this season after 6-11.

We will never know but my theory has always been thsr SP was upset about DA wanting to go HC somewhere.. and SP was like.. ok.. coach here and left it in his hands.

And DA kinda low key failed.
