If this is really all his agent and Carr himself doesn’t actually prefer NY, this has kinda crossed the line from “public negotiating” to “taking a shot at the one team who wants your client the most.”

Either Carr really wants NY. Or this is a last second, desperate move by an agent who has failed miserably to create an actual market.

The Chiefs, Eagles, and just about every other team in the playoffs this past season outside of Jacksonville disagree.

I know I’m in the minority but I truly feel it will be better for the team if he doesn’t sign here. Really do.

Not for the immediate (next season) but for the long term. Allen will be gone after this next season, Pete, etc. Derek is not the answer and especially not at the price he’s demanding, his age, etc.

We're not gonna be stuck for 4 years...at least I hope not. Allen should/will be fired if they go backwards with Carr next season. But a new coaching staff tailored to Carr's talents should turn the ship around in 2024.

This is one of the reasons why Carr won’t sign with Saints. Dennis Allen May be gone after next year and Carr won’t know who his coach will be going forward.

You assume Allen is a competent coach, just like you assume no one else in the division will get better. Health is nothing but luck and not a valid excuse for good coaches.

I agree with what I think is your point, that it’s too early for that question.

Free agency and the draft are still upcoming and other teams will have a chance to improve. I think we would be better than the Bucs with Trask, waiting to see what the Falcons and Panthers do at QB this offseason.

That's possible, but I'm sure he's not thinking like that. What he's thinking is he wants to help the guy who believed in him to succeed. And if he does, then Allen sticks around with Carr leading the way. There is some definite upsides to Carr joining the team. It's a likely boom or bust scenario.
