All sounds very positive. Also interesting how much of a difference they believe a healthy MT would have made last year.

Healthy, in-his-prime MT? Maybe. 3-4 wins is a lot.

Yeah, Dennis Allen has made a few comments about needing a contested catch guy. It seems to really be near the top of his list to get the offense going. It's too bad that Smith, Calloway, Baker, etc haven't been able to step into that role.

Talking about pivoting to Jimmy G if they fail to land Carr made me sad. Yuck.

He’s the best of what’s left after Carr. Random fact that I found earlier when researching Carr, Garoppolo is 4th in adjusted net yards per attempt (7.2) for passers with at least 1500 attempts from 2014 (Carr’s rookie year) to now.

Carr is 21st (6.4), Winston is 25th (6.3), and Dalton is 29th (6.0).

Of course, he hasn’t been nearly as durable as Carr.

Yeah, my biggest problem with Jimmy G is the eyeball test. It just feels like his success is the product of the system and he manages to make critical mistakes at bad times.

Of course, if we end up getting him, I’ll suck it up and hope to be wrong.

My gut tells me that if we miss out on Carr, we make an aggressive move up for a mid first round QB, even if we have to overdraft a little.

If Jimmy could stay healthy I’d be a fan. I like him a lot more than Carr. He just can’t stay healthy.

Also, even if he does have a liking for the Jets they’ll actually have to offer him a contract or, in other words, Rodgers will have to turn them down.

I think you’re going to get your wish. He’s had an offer from the Saints if he wants it. No one even knows if he has one from the Jets.

He’s basically told the whole world through this leak that he wants to go somewhere else. I understand it’s a business. But he’s taking a dump on the organization by doing this, intended or not.

Its clear were his backup plan..May even be plan C behind the panthers for all we know but I've had a feeling all along Jets were his 1st choice. Doesnt make much sense to want to stay in the AFC but pretty soon we should start pivoting to Jimmy G
