Derek Carr world tour thread (updated with combine visits) (3 Viewers)

If this is what you get from my post, then I know you reply to me with nothing to add. You are replying to a post about me saying the Jets run game being dang near equivalent to ours this season; the end.
Yeah, that's exactly what I got from that single post of yours. You said that in response to some people saying that the Saints would be a better place for Carr, because the Saints have a better running game. I got exactly what you were saying in that post.

I also know that you like Winston and view him in a positive light. That's cool and there's nothing wrong with that.

For the past couple of weeks, I've seen you express a positive opinion of the front office and coaching moves the Panthers are making, while only expressing negative opinions about the front office and coaching moves of the Saints. That's cool and there's nothing wrong with that.

For the past couple of days, I've seen you disagree with pretty much every reason people have offered of why the Saints would be a better place for Carr than the Jets. That's cool and there's nothing wrong with that.

Then I realized that I don't recall you talking about anything you like about the Saints or saying anything positive about the Saints, other than Winston. So I genuinely asked you the simple question of what you like about the Saints and what you see as a positive besides Winston.

That's all there was too it. I'm simply curious to know what you like about the Saints besides Winston. I assume there are other things you like about the Saints that you see as positives, because you're a Saints fan.

Breece Hall missed a big chunk of the season. He’s a stud. We have an aging Kamara facing suspension. Wilson and Olave are about as equal as they come. I would be surprised if Carr wanted to hitch his wagon to Dennis Allen over Robert Saleh. Certainly, the Saints play in a worse division. But I hate having that as our biggest selling point
Well, him being the best QB in a terrible division should be all that he needs to hear😂. Do you think he liked being in the division with Mahomes and Herbert?
Would be the same in the AFC East with Allen and Tua.
Carr would be the crown jewel of the NFC South😂

I would not DC and AD are quite close and he respects DA and knows DA believes in him

Is "AD" a typo or are Carr and Dalton close friends? I did an internet search regarding Carr and Dalton being friends, but didn't find anything. Just curious.

So they were 1 young RB away from being a great rushing team? Right, I guess the offensive line just wasn't good enough to block for the other guys......they averaged under 100 yds a game rushing for the season, a whopping 117 yards with said RB in the lineup which would put them at 19th in the NFL.....not exactly eye-popping.....the kid my turn out to be really good but the Jets offensive line .....is not.....things change though.....
Jets were 5-2 before Breece Hall went down. They won two games the entire rest of season after losing him. He was a difference maker for them.

A healthy Breece Hall and adding Carr would make them a playoff team.

Because they have been making great moves this offseason and we haven't; next...

This is false as I've rarely spoken on the Jets in a positive light. If you go through my post, I'm dogging the Jets because they are a perennial dumpster. What I did say is I believe Hackett is a good OC and their run game was equal to ours for most part of the season.

What positive can be said about what the Saints have done this season. We have bright spots in Olave, JJ, Taysom, Shon, our LB corp, and Shaheed, but we had more negatives than positive this season. I'm with the Saints during the good seasons and bad seasons, but I'm not going to sugarcoat anything. A spade is a spade.

Thanks for answering my question. I see all those as bright spots too.

I think without the injuries, the OL would have been good. I think the secondary was really good and they were injury plagued too, so that's a big positive to me.

I think there's a lot more good with the team than bad. I think the crazy amount of injuries, plus adjusting to the loss of Payton while still adjusting to the loss of Brees, plus Kamara's legal predicament and the Miami-Payton tampering issue played a big factor in the Saints being out of sorts.

That's a lot to adjust to and be distracted by. I think they've learned some things from this past year and that they'll improve.

And just adding Carr probably wins us the division. Add in a healthy MT, Landry, and a mostly healthy O line and who knows?

I want Carr too. I don’t see a better option. We are $54 million over the cap, so I don’t know if we have enough time to restructure everyone. Other teams don’t play that game!

Not at all, his relationship with DA is a big plus for us. The state of the NFCS and the NFC in general. Not having to play outdoors in NY in the winter. I also think PC will be more agreeable to let DC be in more control than Hackett. Plus if you listen to his interviews he's not all about the $
Then why is he traveling up north to see what the Jets have to offer?

Thank you truth here. This team is closer to being bad than good. The 7 wins last year were a mirage. Most seasons a team is lucky to win four games with the lack of turnovers the defense generated, poor special team play and a woeful offense.

This is hilarious.....yes, just add Breece Hall, a rookie RB and he makes all the difference, nothing else.....just Breece Hall and magically the Jets are in the playoffs.....right....

That 5-2 record and wins came against teams that were average - poor a combined record of 38-47.....

After Hall went down they actually beat the Bills but the NFL is wacky like that I guess....

Their subsequent 2-8 record (losses) came against teams with a collective record of 70-48.....

But....yeah....Breece Hall.....
