Guess our first pick (1 Viewer)

This draft is really deep at corner, but safety not so much. It’s actually one of the weakest safety drafts in awhile.

Not saying you can’t find a good one, but if you need a safety I’d get one early

I do love Jordan battle tho

Guessing some of the CBs will be able to play safety... kinda how I looked at Moss looks to be an ideal fit at safety

Don't forget the Safeties. I've read (in a bio posted to a mock draft site only TBF) that Jartavius Martin has abilities well suited to nickel, but could also play deep as needed. What are other's opinions on him as a mid round option?
I think he's going to get drafted earlier than some are projecting. Charlie Campbell is the only draft guy that I've seen have a potential first round grade on him. The Saints have spent a lot of time on him. I wouldn't be totally shocked if they took him at 40. He's kind of like Alontae Taylor last year, in that teams might be higher on him than the media.

Man, that Illini secondary was loaded!

There are players who are better.

There are players that I would prefer.

Of players who should be available, and fit the Saints "type" and need?

Derrick Hall De Auburn

Maybe this is the year we trade back. The 29th pick offers that 5th year option if somebody wants a QB late in round one

Even if the Saints stays at 29, almost impossible to say. But not quite--Isaish Foskey, Notre Dame DE, or Bryan Bresee, Clemson DT. Van Ness, White or Murphy will be gone by 29. I question whether they would pick Kancey, even if he is available, because of his size. I think at 29 they will force a pick on a defensive lineman.

I think they will trade up to pick Keion White.

They should have opted for Denver's first-round pick in 2024.

Let's see. They have the 29th pick. History tells us they will trade it, next years #1 plus whatever to move up 10 spots and draft somebody that everybody has rated as the 50th best player. And he'll have a history of injuries, but when he's healthy he's got a ton of potential. Hey Mickey. Do us all a favor and prove me wrong. You and I are both running out of time.

Assuming the Saints locked a trade partner in the 18/20 range, I can see the Saints trading up to pick Lukas Van Ness.

The price to get there scares me though.
You do know Lukas Van Ness is a 3Tech and not a DE. They list him as a DE but he is really a 3Tech and if thats the route your taking you could just draft Mazi Smith in the 2nd round.
