Head Coaching Candidates for 2025 (54 Viewers)

Sadly I think the next HC is gonna be set up to fail. It's gonna take two to three more years of serious cap poverty while stockpiling young talent to get the franchise back in line.

I think the first year needs to be a mulligan no matter who we hire. Honestly they should be judged mostly on their draft, if they get can get some youth in the doors that's contributing. Do that and look somewhat competent on the field then that's a good season regardless of the W/L record.

After that the cap should be in better shape and hopefully we can move on from there.

I like Monken and would like to see him get the job. But how would a college coach transfer into the NFL? I was thinking of Lane Kiffen or either Lincoln Riley. I know Lane has done an amazing job at Ole Miss and he has some previous NFL experiance. I can only imagine what he could do with our talent.

I'll be honest. Bill Belichick makes sense for a few reasons. One, he's on the older side and won't be around forever like Payton was. He can get us through these cap cleaning years. Two, he's pretty decent with personnel. He finds ways to get unknown nobody players to perform. Three, the team has lost accountability and it needs to be restored. Nobody ever doubted who was in charge on a BB coached team and he might be what we need.

I'm not saying he's my first choice, but if 1st-3rd choices aren't biting, he would be a great coach to cover some tough years.

Joe Brady scares me. He was dead in the water as a HCing candidate until he got a mid-season job with the Bills with arguably the 2nd best QB in the game and a wealth of riches on the OL and at RB.

Is he a culture builder? That's far more important to me than just snagging an offensive mind with an LSU connection.

I've warmed to the idea of Mike Vrabel and Aaron Glenn because of the culture question.

Brian Johnson, if you can get him, you just take the chance on whether he'll be a leader of men or not. He's too big of a prize to pass on.

Yall are all missing the obvious scenario that is sure to play out...

Mickey will trade 3 first round picks for Sean Payton (bringing the Magic back). Then whatever future assets we have, he'll use to bring all of the players Sean brought to Denver.

We'll be the New Orleans Bronco SaintsšŸ˜’

Iā€™m not in the business of telling people what to feel or think; however, as Saints fans, we might want to consider being patient through the remainder of this season and all of next season as well. The changes, while hopefully positive, will come with challenges and growing pains.
