Head Coaching Candidates for 2025 (1 Viewer)

Rizzi is a lazy hire that'll just repeat the same damn error we just got out of

Gruden is not just a no, but a hell TF no...and quite possibly the dumbest thing we can do as an organization

BB would be Ditka 2.0

Prime would be a sheetshow

I say we get Tom Brady and let him split time between the broadcast booth and being partial owner of the Raiders.

I don't like our situation at all

Calling Rizzi a lazy hire is ridiculous. He's the one guy that we need to see what he can do with 8 games

Aaron Glenn
He played for us. He’s coached here before. He’s essentially “one of us”. He has knowledge on how to stop a SP type offense and and new age Ben Johnson type offense. Players love him and he has earned a HC position. He was a pretty good player, so that resonates with this new era of players
This is emphatically who I want! However I believe they will go with an O minded coach.

Rearranging the deck chairs isn’t enough to get the fans to buy in for next year. It’s going to have to be a real change.
That's not happening with Loomis as GM. Gayle was the driving force between firing Allen, not him. He'll go with familiar. It's going to be Rizzi if he does decently for the rest of the year or Glenn.

As fans our best case scenario is one of them takes over and Loomis doesn't screw up our cap any further. In a few years we'll be on the other side of this mess and then can start fresh with a new GM and HC. Who knows maybe one of them can catch lightning but I don't see it.

Also been voted #1 in every NFLPA poll so yeah I think the league players respect this 52 year old ex DB with ties to the organization

The NFLPA polls are just a popularity contest. Like the one that had us last in food

What makes you think that Glenn is going to be a great HC?
Did anyone initially believe Dan Campbell would be a good head coach when he coached our TEs. If Glenn who obviously has shown he can relate and coach up these younger players can come in and change the culture back to executing and a winning mentality then maybe.

In all honesty though until we remove the training staff and replace them with qualified individuals to treat hamstring, groin and other soft tissue injuries it will be tough.

Oh yeah, and there’s who’s in control of all football operations. Benson gave SP the keys to the car, house and shed out back. ML didn’t like that one bit and I doubt seriously we hire a coach anytime soon that can have such a gravitational shift as SP did in our organization so quickly.

We are in a quagmire gents for the foreseeable future. I certainly wouldn’t take over this team, this cap, with Dennis, Mickey and Greg still over me. Would you. Our organization needs a remake, rebuild and rebrand that will take years without removing the stale complacent and incompetent management that told Tom Benson that Haslett was a good candidate in the building just like he did 20 years later with DA.

Bill would make a lot of sense..

1) no one wants to coach Jerry world
2) he's had that year off to enjoy being out, but definitely you know he wants back in
3) he really loved joint practices with our franchise and got along real well with us
He knows the Mannnings well too

I'll be honest. Bill Belichick makes sense for a few reasons. One, he's on the older side and won't be around forever like Payton was. He can get us through these cap cleaning years. Two, he's pretty decent with personnel. He finds ways to get unknown nobody players to perform. Three, the team has lost accountability and it needs to be restored. Nobody ever doubted who was in charge on a BB coached team and he might be what we need.

I'm not saying he's my first choice, but if 1st-3rd choices aren't biting, he would be a great coach to cover some tough years.
Same reason Atlanta didn’t hire him. He wants total control. Tom Benson is gone. Unless Gayle gets rid of the 3 headed monster in Loomis, Lauscha, and Bensel this scenario will not play out

Belicheat would make a lot of headlines. But he couldn't get it done with a rebuilding Pats so I'm skeptical he could navigate our talent and cap issues.
Sadly I think the next HC is gonna be set up to fail. It's gonna take two to three more years of serious cap poverty while stockpiling young talent to get the franchise back in line.
That’s why it’s important to find a big time leader of men over everything other quality. A guy that can get more from less.

What Loomis did 18 years ago…a nice reminder when he hired SP and the process he went through to find the right man.

Mickey was told by Tom Benson to hire him. Benson loathed Jerry Jones and wanted to steal his bright young minded OC and told Loomis make it happen. Benson also gave SP the control over all football operations. ML has not significantly improved our organization in over 22 years.

By the way, why didn’t Loomis ever hire a coach prior to coming here? Because Seattle didn’t trust him to, he didn’t and still doesn’t know the X’s and O’s enough to make that call. He won executive of the year due to the accomplishments of SP and DB not by his on merits

Sorry Gayle was not the driving force, the apathy of the coaching staff and losing your 7 straight game when you win the turnover margin and out gain your opponent by +150 yards was the driving force. Teams with that stat line were 275-0 until Sunday.

Does anyone that’s serious about seeing us a contenders 5-6 years truly not understand that Gayle has to get rid of the guy that’s been telling everyone that DA is the right guy? That Haslett was the right guy? That has signed off on backloaded deals to put us not in cap purgatory but cap hell?

Gayle just needs to hire a consulting firm to tell her what we know, upper management is one of if not the biggest issue with the erosion of a winning culture based on complacency and incompetence.

It’s still a poll completed by the players. If we were not giving players extra meals daily etc, then we scored exactly how we should have. If a coach is rated #1 by players, then he is scored exactly how he should be. It’s simple
