Inflation here? gas/grocery prices just continue to climb (5 Viewers)

Mine is 2014 BMW 335 with 120k. Bought it used in 2017 for something fun. All my other cars are Subaru Ascent, Subaru Crosstrek and now RAV4 that are all purpose built for weather. All weighted down, lifted all terrains and purchased with gas mileage in mind.

About to drop the crosstrek at a friends house near DFW since rental cars are going to be really difficult to find again this spring/summer. Idea is fly to DFW, hop in car and drive to where I need to go. Later in the spring will transition it farther north.

Crazy times.
335is here and since I work from home, I just got it for fun since most of the time I'm minivan pimpin..lol.

I expected my Father in Law to go on rants about Biden and gas prices the other day, but all he said was, I'm retired, 1 tank lasts me a month, i don't really care. I wasn't prepared for that statement from him...

I wouldn't hold my breath watching prices at the pump drop
I think it drops another 9% the rest of the week, retests $100 then gets hot again and makes a new run towards $150 before it crashes hard towards the end of April.

i saw a .49 increase in 4 days locally. $4.10. by tomorrow it will be 4.50.

my usual groceries cost at least double last years cost.
my elec bill was higher than any bill ive ever had, nothing has changed
and its increased by 1/4.

7.9% annual inflation - and that's BEFORE the problems in the Ukraine. Not good.
Nope, not good at all. I really start to worry about gas, food, etc that I get each week. It's getting harder and harder to make ends meet. I fear that it's going to get worse before it gets better, too.

gas was 4.19 this morning here at one station. believe last week it was 3.29 or so.

i hit costco in the morning when i need gas so theres no line.

we're starting to use costco more for chicken, ground turkey, eggs, milk because its cheaper than super 1. i dont usually watch prices but i try to keep up with some of them now.

Blame Covid. We are coming out of the pandemic and demand is far ahead of supply right now. WWL had an economist
as a guest yesterday. He said it'll take around 3 years to balance out.

during storm season, how many gallons do you think you fill up with weekly? just out of curiosity.
