Inflation here? gas/grocery prices just continue to climb (5 Viewers)

I paid just over $6.50 (may have been like $6.59 or so) for premium to fill up my tank last Thursday. When the pump stopped, it stopped at an even $100.00. Fortunately I don't drive much and fill up around once every 5-6 weeks but still. It's painful.

I noticed today the eggs I normally buy at Trader Joe's have gone up about $1/dozen.

Prices at Costco had gone up some, but not too bad. Feel like it’s less than inflation, but I could be wrong! I think one can still 24 eggs for $2.99 etc!

Trust me :) If you like eggs, you better stock up on them now. This Avian flu just compounds covid. We can't get sliced
Turkey meat at Keesler now

Trader Joe’s? And you call me bougie?

How is TJ’s bougie? It’s a cheap chain. They are everywhere here.
Eh, it's elitist for all those who don't want "big brands" and all of their organic and non-gmo crap. It's basically a discount whole foods.

And they waste a ton of packaging on their produce. I find the whole place pretty annoying.

I go to the store and it's like I can't find anything for less than $5. It will get worse and there will be lots of people suffering.

I'm gonna move back to Thailand, so cheap. Liver on a stick, healthy and it's less than 50 cents. Minced pork? Well it's not refrigerated, and it's just out in the heat, but it's just fine. Chicken too. Do you like your eggs refrigerated? Don't go to Thailand.

How much is Pepto bismol and toilet paper? That's where they get you in Thailand.

Yea, but when you running from the cops, frolicing isn't usually a natural insticnt...lol
One person's frolicking is another's running. Like I said, a lot of folks are awkward runners, especially as we age.

Now you tell me. I was lied to all those years ago by the folks at Fleet Feet.
It's not totally wrong. Modern shoes are designed for people falling on their heels, but if you look at good runners, they're on the balls of their feet. The heels may touch, but it's not the primary contact point.

anyway, bit of a rabbit hole I'm taking us on in an inflation thread..lol.

I have flat hobbit feet, so I had to relearn how to run (as I was killing my feet). To bring us back on course with inflation…my Brooks Beast shoes haven’t gone up in price.
