Just another day in New Orleans (2 Viewers)

Unfortunately, no. Total screw-up in the planning process. Unless you fly out on Tuesday mornings, the lots are generally full. Thursday-Sunday its basically shut out. (Unless you want to park in the old garage by the old terminal and take a 15 minute bus ride - no thanks).

I did discover that you can reserve a spot on their website and then park there even if it shows 'full' but I usually just uber at this point.

Last time I gave the guy $20 guarding the entrance since website showed 15 open spots. Lol

Doesn't help when Park-n-Fly basically disappeared. US Park added spots and still be full most of the time. These days it's easier to just fly BTR.
So park-n-fly is no more? We always used them rather than driving all the way to the airport only to turn around.
You really shouldn't have to make a reservation at an international airport for a parking spot.

Yeah. They closed up when the airport moved. There's only US Park now (and Hilton still does airport parking).

A lot of places are doing reservations now for parking, including some airports. Hell, they were doing reservations for a comic con I attended once in Baltimore. :idunno:

How is this good news?

This will, no doubt, lead to the Plaza Tower being turned into a trans-dimensional portal that will transport and house human-gator hybrids that perform random drunken stunts using ATVs.

That buildings value and deterioration have followed the same trajectory as the city it calls home.

Seriously, go look at its history and property value. It’s wild. It’s been purchased like 5 times in the last 15, and each time for like 15% less than the time prior.

It should have been torn down 15 years ago, its just another case of over-blown nostalgia, poor planning and neglect.

I always called it “The Lifeguard Tower” until I recently (within the last few years) learned that it was falling apart (with some pieces even landing in the street). Someone needs to do something about that property, however I learned that at this point cost to remove the asbestos from the building costs as much as the value of the property itself.

I'm not sure this is something to laugh at. I know we all have our issues with Williams, but no one deserve to be a victim. Plus, it was his mom who was the true victim being it was her car.

Not laughing at the criminal act... laughing at the complete and utter cosmic level irony of this situation. I.e. One of the primary people responsible for this deplorable situation that NOLA is in as it pertains to Carjacking... becomes a victim of his own tried and true self imposed on the job failures. It's the same reason I laugh at a dumb arse kid that keeps letting a known vicious dog out of his pen, then eventually gets bit by said dog himself...

For sure. I'm laughing at the irony.

It would suck being in that situation, no doubt.
