Lego building as a hobby (1 Viewer)

Yea, as you can see from my pic on the 1st page of this thread, I use my office as my lego room. I’d rather have LEGOs behind me on Zoom calls than a blurred background. My customers tend to like it. I get all sorts of questions about the Falcon or RazorCrest.
Yeah, that's a cool way to display them. I'm definitely gonna try and save up for the Razor and Falcon. Apparently, rumor has it that Lego will be retiring all of the current SW sets. That's disappointing, but I guess they gotta retire sooner or later.

I have such a mishmash of sets right now, it's hard to decide which theme to focus on. I've got a handful of City sets, the Avengers Tower, several mid sized and smaller Star Wars sets, and a couple of Creator sets. I tend to try to buy sets on sale and kicking myself for not getting the RC that was sale priced a month ago.

Not sure if I'm gonna try and splurge for the large Star Wars sets before they get discontinued or just hit the sets on sale.

I'm definitely thinking about doing some hunting during my next week off from work and hit up yard sales and the local thrift shops. I've heard some people have good success finding sets, even if incomplete for really cheap. Parts are still fairly cheap and not all that difficult to find on some of the secondary market sites.

I might even look for used sets if they're close to complete. Some pretty good value for those. The only thing I worry about with used items is if they've been exposed to sunlight as that causes yellowing and damage to the plastic.

10 bags in. 30 more to go. Enjoying the build. Legos are just a relaxing, fun journey.

So, as you build, do you recreate any scenes? Note: I did not say "play with the toys" because that's for children. :hihi:

I haven't really gotten there yet, but I'm definitely gonna do some before I'm done. Once I get a few more minifigs, particularly the Hulk one, I'll do some scenes for sure.

Just finished bag 17, which was the Quinjet. I'd like to do the bigger set and the Helicarrier set. I wish I had started sooner when they were still being sold by Lego. Now, to get a sealed new box is stupid expensive. Might go the used route for those.

29 of 40 bags done. Feels like I should be finished soon, but still 10 bags to go. Really fun build. Lots of cool features and a few Easter eggs which I like.

Done! Was a ton of fun. Totally would take it apart and build it again, lol.

But seriously, just an excellent set and it's actually playable. You can recreate scenes and create new ones and the minifigs are pretty well done. If there was one thing I'd change, it really needs a Thanos.

Some of the parts are a little delicate, especially the Chitauri monster on the right. It has a lot of little parts and you have to handle it carefully. And accessing each floor in the building is a bit awkward as it's a pretty tight fit. Having small hands will help.

31 minifigs Really brings the set to life. The set wasn't cheap, but if you're in the market for a higher end Lego set and a Marvel fan, I'd highly recommend it.

Someone definitely has too much time on their hands, lol. Incredible build.

Depends. Many times these builds are sponsored.
