Loki Disney Plus - Trailer (3 Viewers)

I'm still not completely wrapping my head around it either, but the other Lokis were Variants. That would mean they were identified by the TVA, and presumably, their time branch deleted. So, they are preventing the existence of a Multiverse. That's how I'm loosely understanding it, but I've been wrong many times before.
but this Loki did not create a variant except for this one the show focuses on
he didn't in the past (or Mobius would have mentioned it) and in the future he's dead
i 'suppose' he could be creating all sorts of variants starting now
but all the different Lokis they showed him seemed to be from different timelines, no?

He's a version of the Prime Loki since he was a part of the Sacred Timeline before the tesseract slid its way towards his feet so any other changes are from different timelines automatically.

Or different possible timelines?

Or different possible timelines?
Technically the multiverse is created and destroyed all the time since they destroy all variants. Variants cause the multiverse but it also apparently takes a lot of them to cause the multiverse of madness for those different timelines to stick. We have Lady Loki and Prime Variant Loki running around before the timebomb that just happened.

Here's how I see it...

They said that sometimes variants happen because of choices, like showing up late to work when you weren't "supposed" to, and sometimes they just happen. I think some of the other Loki's just happened. A Loki who was born a woman when he was supposed to be a man, etc.

Think of it like spontaneous mutations. The TVA captures and removes those spontaneous mutations and resets the timeline removing the branch they created from the STL.

The question is why does it take them so long to find them sometimes?

Can anybody really trust a space lizard?

But a variant on our timeline would still look like Loki
why would branching a variant timeline turn him into a Hulk Loki or any of the other very different Lokis?

A timeline where Loki hit himself with gamma rays to try and get payback against the Hulk? The key thing though is it's not linear. The variant may be from birth (born a woman) and the branch happens immediately. Other variants may come from choices, like my initial point.

At some point, Kevin Feige is going to have to commit to canon just what the differences are between a universe, a timeline and a dimension.
