London trip (1 Viewer)

Cannot get assgned seats!

I spoke to my Saints ticket rep the other day since my brother and I are planning on going. We didn't want the package deal since we wanted to stay longer than that. You can purchase a single ticket online but they (the Saints or NFL) cannot assign you a seat. My account rep repeated online disclaimer that ALL seats will be assigned in July.
Huh??
"So there is NO WAY that if you buy tickets you are guaranteed who you can sit next to?" The account rep said "Yep! All seat assignments are made on the London side in July! If you have any complaints, take it up with the NFL".

What kind of policy is this?? In theory, if you brought your family all of you could be sitting in different parts of the stadium viewing the game! Is that nuts?

Has anybody else got more info on this?

I got mine in the CLub Wembley section with Ticketmaster UK and paid about $250 each for them, You can try there.

When we bought our Club tickets through Ticketsmaster UK, we were given exact seat locations (section, row, number)
I guess the non-Club tickets haven't been figured out yet. You would think that the tickets that they reserve for the two teams and their fans would be together. Why give the Saints organization a bunch of tickets that are spread throughout the stadium? Likewise, if you ordered 4 tickets through the Saints, it would be silly for them NOT to give you 4 tickets together.
I guess you will have to wait and see???

Were staying at the Marriott Maida Vale (Kilburn) right on the Bakerloo tube line between Wembley and Central London.

Looks to be the least expensive Marriott in London 112 pounds a night (right now 225 US).

Might be cheaper alternatives around Wembley but this seemed to be the most convenient to our two main destinations.

And having a boatload of Marriott points helps :)

So if anybody's looking for a hotel, you might want to check it out.

K, you are right the hotels are so expensive. I was lucky to find something in Wembley for my sis and I. I recommend that anyone staying in London for over a week to look at short term flats (apt) to rent. I did that because it was cheaper than a hotel and also a bit bigger. Of course, it was easier to get the hotel in Wembley for the game so I wouldnt have to travel that day. Let me know if you need any help with your trip. This will be at least my 110th trip so I well schooled! And broke! LOL. Some people have other vices , mine is UK!

booked my flight yesterday. after using my frequent flyer miles, it only cost $140.
arriving on 10/22 and heading back on 10/27. while i'm there I hope to take the train over to paris and see what that's all about.
this trip is starting to look more and more real by the day! :9:

Dallas, sounds like you got a good deal on the airfare. I was hesitant about the price I paid for mine but I wanted specfic seats, hubs, etc. and chose American. I see the price will probably flunctuate but I am happy. Maybe the New Orleans contingent can get together for a pre game drink and take a photo to send back!

The airfare was free due to my airline miles. The $140 is fees and taxes. That cheap rate will help lessen the sting of 5 nights of a London hotel. Those places aren't cheap! :jpshakehead:

New Orleans Saints V San Diego Chargers
Wembley Stadium, Middlesex,
Sun 26 Oct 2008, 17:00

Seat location: section BK 112, row 11, seats 12-11
Total Charge: £179.35

As Eric Cartman would say, "YES YES YES!"

Can't wait to meet some of my fellow Saints fans! I'm soooo looking forward to this. Dalls, Paris is awesome, and if you book a bit in advance the Eurostar is great value.

what resource are you guys using to find flats in London? Also, has a meeting place been set up for Saints fans that you know of?

London Bound

I have a flat for sis and I at the Royal Court apt. near Paddington Station. There is talk about pre and post game parties tailgate etc. at nfluk.com. Go to the International 2008 section of the forum. You can place your seat numbers and hotel stay at the appropriate posts. I think we will all finalize where to meet when we get close. Join that forum if you are going. As I stated earlier, I have the Club Wembley tickets for us and have already got the airfare, hotel, etc. I go to UK often and so I have already got everything planned. Nola, if you or anyone needs advice just email or ask. I am a serious ANGLOPHILE! This is the best trip I planned so far. Goooo Saints.... How about , all of us from New Orleans, get together at Wembly with the Living Section of the newspaper and take the photo for the travel section! :ezbill:

Firstly, I have read the rules and posts regarding "scammers" on this site. OK, this is my first post and I have only joined this forum for this reason, but this is a GENUINE offer to any fans thinking of coming to England to see the Saints take on the Chargers at Wembley Stadium, London.

I am from England, and the first 40,000 tickets for this game sold out in 90 minutes. I have four tickets and my brother has four, we only need four in total. He has a college friend who says he may have the other four. He has been informed that I need a response by the June 10 otherwise the tickets will be offered to some one else.

If there are any Saints fans out there who may be thinking of coming to England to see the game please e mail me, timlangford@talktalk.net, and if the spare tickets become available you can have the option to buy them.Priority will be given in order I receive e mail. Tickets are in Block 528, the seating plan can be found at http://www.wembleystadium.com/brilli...viewfinder.htm

Please, this is a GENUINE offer to all Saints fans. I could sell them on e bay to any English fan, but I would rather give genuine "American Saints" fans first refusal if they become available.

Tim
