Lord of the Rings Series -- Amazon (3 Viewers)

Sorry if it's been stated already, but what day do the episodes drop on?
Nah, he did it. I'm not saying it was on purpose but he clearly broke his ankle. It didn't slip, it looked like an invisible hand snapped it.
Ok, so I watched it again tonight & while I still didn't see the hand, there was definitely something there because the stick he was drawing with snapped at the very instant his leg broke.

I said it was like an invisible hand snapped it, meaning he used some kind of powers to do it. He didn't just slip and snap it, an outside force caused it.

I watched the meteor man parts again, and had headphones on. At certain points, there is some evil-sounding whispering in the air, kind of influencing his actions or something. I couldn't make out what the words were saying though

I have a question for you Tolkien nerds. Morgoth destroyed the 2 trees in Valinor and darkened the light. So how can Frodo go there and heal from the light? Was the darkness ever lifted?

The Valar themselves live in Valinor. They can heal him.
The Sun and Moon and Earendil's star (which is a Silmaril) all shine there along with the light of the gods.

So, I'm a bit confused about the timeline. Looks like this is planning on being right at the fall of Numenor. However, the rings were already forged by then. And it seems like they haven't been yet. Also, Galadriel was already with Celeborn.

It's like 1500 years is going to be presented as 1 year.

Just let go, my friend. Canon isn't a thing. This is fanfic.
Pretty, well-acted fanfiction.

Yes, basically just a few years. Sauron was defeated twice in the Second Age - once by the Elves and Numenoreans soon after forging the rings and then again at the very end by Isildur. These two events are ~1500 years apart as you have said.

But they already have mentioned that Sauron had been defeated, but not elminated and Galadriel was scouring ME for any evidendence of his return. So they are moving the forging of the rings until after the first defeat.

I wouldn't call if fan-fic, which is to me either filling in gaps through side-stories, prequels and sequels that don't conflict with anything in canon. Like let's say you had a little side story about what Luke Skywalker did on Tatooine before meeting Obi Wan Kenobi., or something in between ROTJ and TFA - like what they're doing with The Mandalorian and baby Yoda. Its not even a retcon, which is still a somewhat plausible reinterpretation of past events.

What they're doing is is actively contradicting canon. Basically rewriting.
