Mark Ingram 18 for 97 (5.4 ypc) 1 TD (1 Viewer)

Ingram haters aren't allowed to root for him now with the amount and intensity of crap thrown his way. Y'all know who you are

I said "I hate to say it, but PT being injured could be a blessing in disguise.", and it was. Said "the one positive is that our backfield would be quicker.", and it was. Now I wonder what Sean will do with PT next weekend.. if he's ready to go.

Werent you the guy making fun of me last week for liking ingram?

Lol not happening.Pt is the starter.

Ingram did ok but he not taking snaps away from Pt if he's healthy next week.

Pt will still be the STARTER and will remain if healthy next week and ingram will continue to play his role.

Sometimes, you reach a line where you give it up. I notice you eat no crow for saying Cadet is twice as good as Ingram. Quit drawing attention to your foolishness dude, you've said it twice and it seems like your going for a red thumb marathon. You don't need to try to say it again on every page in the thread.

If there is ever a most improved and turned things around award on the team Ingram gets it this year. He has improved so much over the last several games. A job well done on his part.

Great win, the first one on the road, for our beloved Saints. I was pleasantly surprised by the play calling of Sean Payton, as he continuously run the damn ball down the Eagles' throats. Moreover I'm really happy for #22 Mark Ingram, who showed up BIG TIME, in the starter role, with the following stats:

18 runs for 97 yards, 1 TD
3 receptions for 17 yards

So I hope that we (well, actually the "Ingram' haters") can finally put up to rest all the talks about his lack of production or him "being a bust" (or simply "inefficient"...you know, I usually like TCUDan analysis, but IMHO he is/was way off on #22). So now let's go to Seattle and avenge our Monday Night loss against the Seahawks. Who Dat!

Ingram played extremely well. He was the opposite of what I said he was last week. He was decisive, downhill and finished his runs with authority.

What surprised me more was how well the OL run blocked on the road. My biggest criticism of Ingram and reason wanting to shift the carries to KR was because I believed we needed to get the tough yardage and push through first level traffic.

But the truth is that the OL really kept the first level clean. They gave the backs clear lanes and the zone game worked as well as it's worked all season. Ingram made great reads and ran like a man. And both backs made the most of the strong blocking in front of them.

I have no problem giving credit where its due when its due. Last week was probably the first time I criticized Ingram openly and my opinion has been changed just one week later. He looked like he did in college last night. Honestly I think that may have been his signature game (way more so than the cowboys game).

All that said, the blocking was phenomenal. This takes nothing away from the performance of the rbs. I thought they all ran extremely well last night, and as I said before... That is what you have to do to win CLOSE games on the road during the playoffs. My take on Ingram was just one small part of a larger point (though it naturally attracts the most attention). Saints did exactly what they needed to do last night and I hope they can replicate those efforts in Seattle.

There was nothing wrong with the opinion you gave on Ingram a week ago. I, like a few others, disagreed. But it was your opinion. Definitely not something you needed to be called out for though. Especially considering it was your first time ever stepping foot in the Ingram argument. There's other posters here who deserve to be called out for the complete garbage they sprew on a weekly basis.

Good post though. Others here could learn something about admitting a mistake.

I give props when props are due. Not undeserved love. If Ingram SUCKS next week and it's his fault, and I see you claiming again that he was "ballin" I just might make fun of you again. Like I said, I'm no hater, just expected more from Ingram. Btw, I'm a BIG Robinson fan, too. I do n't see the Robinson "Haters" showing him any love. Which is WELL DESERVED. Btw, Ingram, Robinson and Sproles didn't do it alone. The game plan and O-line played a BIG part. Here's to them repeating it again next week.. and then some. WHO DAT!

Never once have I seen anyone on the forum have something negative to say about Robinson. Certainly not to the level of some of the stuff you personally post about Ingram.

Mmkay. I'm not gonna argue with you. Be butthurt. Idc. I know Robinson was just as productive with his touches as Ingram was with his. As I said he would be all along. Today is a good day. Want to cry and be butthurt? Find someone else to cry too. I'm not interested.

I think you have that backwards...Ingram will remain the primary ball carrier and PT will play his role...utility back.

Don't worry, there is no danger of that happening with me - that's what fanboys are for. I am a fan of the team and I never get upset when someone from my team does their job well. I do however get upset when they don't. It takes a lot more than a couple good games to restore my faith or believe he has turned some corner. I gave him props for Dallas, and I give him props for last night. Great game Mark! Thanks for making plays when we needed you. Don't disappear again next week or we start back at 0.

No one should ever talk negatively about Robinson, he was an udfa, didn't cost us anything. Whatever production we get out of him is lagniappe. Ingram on the other hand cost us 2 first round picks. Ingram played a hell of a game but ill take robinsons production and two starters we could have drafted elsewhere 10 out of 10 times. This is the reason so many people are on ingrams asss when he doesn't perform.

I would still consider running KR early and often against Seattle to loosen things up before employing Ingram too heavily on the ground game. Even if the overalls touch distribution is the same. Seattle's defensive line tends to anchor a bit better than Philly's.

The zone game worked well against philly bc it creates movement up front and got the defense to over pursue and open up cutback lanes. In Seattle we're going to have to push them off the ball a little more early on. The goals should be the same (find production on the ground). But the gameplan needs to be adjusted accordingly.

Which always brings up the argument...why did we draft a running back in the first round when we have proven capable of finding one in the later rounds and UDFA.

I enjoyed watching Ingram slice up that eagles defense...but Robinson had some clutch runs also...specifically that 12 yard run that got us that first down in the final minutes of the 4th quarter.
