Mark Ingram 18 for 97 (5.4 ypc) 1 TD (1 Viewer)

I give props when props are due. Not undeserved love. If Ingram SUCKS next week and it's his fault, and I see you claiming again that he was "ballin" I just might make fun of you again. Like I said, I'm no hater, just expected more from Ingram. Btw, I'm a BIG Robinson fan, too. I do n't see the Robinson "Haters" showing him any love. Which is WELL DESERVED. Btw, Ingram, Robinson and Sproles didn't do it alone. The game plan and O-line played a BIG part. Here's to them repeating it again next week.. and then some. WHO DAT!

Wait there are Khiry "Haters"?! WHO THE HELL HATES KHIRY!?

That's stupid.

No player is dominant every game. Even if Ingram "sucks" next week (against a monster defense on the road no less), he's still proven over the 2nd half of the season that he's a good back.

And what Robinson haters?

No one hates Khiry b/c his sample size is limited and he is an UDFA as opposed to a 1st round pick (however misguided, people are always quicker to turn on players who are drafted early). There has been reason to criticize Ingram's play in the past, but those who call him a bust or are miffed b/c he was drafted early aren't going to ever change their minds.

Even coming off the biggest games of his career, there were just some people who could not be convinced that Reggie Bush was a good player. Ingram is going to have to battle the same type of sentiment as long as he's with the Saints.

No as far as Khiry, I remember when there weren't any Chris Ivory haters. Then, I think the offseason of 2012 people started turning on him and calling for him to be cut in favor of the newest UDFA favorite, Tavaris Cadet.

So give it time, certain people will eventually turn against Khiry. But as long as he is the exciting new underdog story, everyone is going to continue loving him and hating on the guy who was drafted early.

You can search through all the garbage that's been posted throughout threads when comparing Robinson and Ingram. Enjoy dat. People who putdown his production because it was late in the game. Garbage yards they called it. Trust me, the garbage is out there. Do I honestly think they hate Robinson? No. Just like the so-called Ingram Haters... they don't hate Ingram, just expected more. There might be a few haters out there, but I'm not a hater, just a fan who wants MORE of what he gave us last night.

The detratction of Ivory was purely based on his vast injury issues. Nothing to do with anything performance based.

Never said any player was or is. Meh! Whatever :hihi: Done arguing about Ingram. Hell. I gave the man his props. Why? Because he actually EARNED them last night. Just like Robinson and Sproles.

Ingram ran really hard last night. So did Robinson. Actually, Ingram has looked like a different guy in the last 3-4 games.

I've criticized Ingram in the past and I'm not gonna sit here today and say the criticism wasn't warranted. He is a first round pick and until recently, he's been mostly ineffective compared to other RBs. Expectations were high on Ingram as they should be for a first round pick. You're kidding yourself if you feel he's lived up to expectations UNTIL RECENTLY.

I'm a diehard Saints fan, so I'm thrilled that Ingram is playing so well now. Hope he keeps it up and have no reason to believe that he will not. We are a much better team when we can run the ball like we did last night.

Let's also give some major props to the O-line. Think about this, how many time last night did you, me, the entire Eagles Defense and pretty much anyone watching the game know that the Saints were going to run the QB sneak yet we continued to not just get the inches needed but sometimes as much as 3-4 yards. That is dominant O-line play!!!

What kills me are the comparisons between the two backs that bring up 1st round pick vs. UDFA. Aside from future contract and roster moves, who cares?

There are no additional style points awarded for Khiry because he was a UDFA. Is Ingram's performance unacceptable as a 1st rounder, but OK for a guy if he went in the 6th? Once someone is on the squad, it doesn't matter one lick how and when they were acquired.

Love what Ingram has done lately and he's proving a lot of people wrong, including myself.

But that doesn't mean the Ingram 'haters' were completely wrong - he deserved a lot of the criticism that came his way the last two years with the way he ran the ball - too high, poor leverage, too often tried to do too much, etc. 'Bad Ingram' even showed up on a few of his late runs last night when he danced and hesitated instead of taking what was there.

But the great thing is that we've been seeing much less of 'Bad Ingram' as the season has gone on. Hopefully he can replicate this performance in Seattle, with a D that's on another level than Philly's.

Which is probably a reason the run game is being held back..PT has no big play ability outside of the screen game...he is the glue that keeps things together in the backfield but as we all witnessed Saturday night he could also be holding back younger more productive players.

thanks for your analysis of why PT is a burden. completely out of touch :jpshakehead:

How about his tackle on Fletcher in the 1st quarter? His form was better than Jenkins'!

I noticed that also. He flat out squared up and had a perfect tackle, might have saved 20+ yards.

I have not been a supporter of Mark Ingram until late this season, but the man has stepped up and showed his true stuff, I do believe that he has "it" now. Flat out, the Saints do not beat the Eagles yesterday without Mark Ingram.

OK Mark, open up the beast within, hold onto the ball, squeeze the life out of that thing, no turnovers and go out and KILL the Seahawks!!!!!

Saints 27
Seahawks 24

We love underdog stories, human nature.

Your entitiled to your opinion but there was nothing out of touch about that comment...did I say he was holding back Ray Zellars? I know nobody can talk about the great Pierre Thomas on here just the younger more talented players behind him because to you PT Apologist it justifies his place on the team even though he is more productive on designed screen runs than actually rushing.....but only Ingram and Robinson can be called into question.

I love PT. He's been my favorite, but his production has been lacking for the 2nd half of the season. Maybe he's worn down. Whereas Ingram and Robinson's production has been good. I think PT still needs to play, but we definitely should give Ingram more playing time, and it can only come from PT's time.
