The only reason I listen is Mike D.I wouldn't know. Haven't listened to WWL in 20 years.
Saints medical staff: "Oh come on!! "They picked the most injury plagued player in the draft. Figures. I guess Payton Turner has a friend now.
On all fronts? Olave is more than a “fine” playerFrom NFL.com:

New Orleans Saints
Draft pick
- Clemson DT Bryan Bresee (No. 29 overall)
Analysis: The Saints gave up their first-rounder in this year's draft in a trade with the Eagles prior to last year’s draft. New Orleans used draft capital from that trade to move up for Chris Olave last year. Olave’s a fine player, but the Eagles have to feel good about that deal right now. New Orleans received a first-round pick from Denver for former head coach Sean Payton, though, using that pick on Bresee. I’m not sure he will be an elite player, but Bresee is the sort of interior player the Saints needed. Hopefully he will be able to put some of the injury woes he dealt with in college behind him.
Agree with their assessment, on all fronts.
they traded up for Carter.Eagles getting J. Carter with our original 1st rd pick hurts. We needed interior DL help and they got the best one in the draft with our pick fresh off a SB appearance.
Loomis really screwed the pooch trying to force upgrading two positions in the 1st rd last season. I still think that it was a terrible idea considering that the team had no starting QB.
I agree. I like the pick, but the injury concern is a valid one. It's perfectly valid for people to be concerned about his injury history, particularly since some perfectly respectable sources have questioned whether he was the same player after coming back from the ACL.
We've just sat through five years of Marcus Davenport failing to live up to his potential because of one injury after another. The same is seemingly being played out again with Turner....
That's why people are concerned. He could be the second coming of Reggie White but that's not much good if he's not on the field.
I'm more corned about his weaknesses vrs the run where he gets turned too easily and just gets washed out by double teams....hopefully this is Coachable stuff.
The fact that Jalen Carter dropped to them tells me what I need to know. His arrest in January, showing up at workouts out of shape tells me he is lazy and not focused.Eagles getting J. Carter with our original 1st rd pick hurts. We needed interior DL help and they got the best one in the draft with our pick fresh off a SB appearance.
