How do you like the Bryan Bresee pick?

Y’all are sleeping on Breese, if he didn’t have to deal with the absolute nightmare of stuff he went through and improperly used at Clemson he would have been a top 10 pick easily. He will be a much better pro than college player.

I like the pick. Defensive line versatility. Bresee can play inside & LDE. He’s fast and flourishes completing stunts. Good run stuffer to have against Bijan twice a year.
The Falcons crushed us outside the tackles last year, he may not have much influence on that. We gave up 7.2 yards/carry outside the tackles versus 3.8 yards/carry on inside runs in the two games we played.

I agree... I'm just tired of the "IF" stuff in first round rotational players... He seems like a great dude, with some bad luck, that never really got a chance to live up to his hype.... I was ready for a not so much "IF" player (cleaner).... we passed on a few... again.

Yeah, We were very weak against the A&B gap run last year. Clancy would not have helped us here. Bresse can
also play NT in a 3-4 when you need your best pass rushers on the field.

If he's injury prone ,i don't like it
if he produces in the NFL more than in college ,i will like it
for now i'm still stunned that porter jr ,mayer and branch didn't get picked in the 1st round (we have to get some of them)

And the caveat is, we didn't have to trade up to get him or anyone else. That in itself is a win, IMO.

I get it, we traded up for Davenport and he was an IF. We didn’t trade up for Bresee, he’s a top 10 talent who wasn’t an IF player, he was the number 1 recruit in the country who’s 100% healthy now, good worker, athletic, great body, and wants to play. We got very lucky. You don’t get 6’6” 300lb athletic freaks often

I agree. I like the pick, but the injury concern is a valid one.

I just don't see it as being that big of a deal. ACL tear two years ago and a off-season shoulder cleanup surgery that he played through without it hurting his performance. Neither of those are chronic problems or indicative of nagging future injuries.

This isn't a Davenport, Turner or even Penning situation where they played at small schools and maybe the jump in competition could be a factor in injuries either. He was playing against some future pros.

If my math is right trading up from 40 to 34 would only coast a 4th. I wouldn't mind a trade up here since one
of those 3 would be available.

He was early in his college career (especially as a FR)... He's an "IF" now... Look at everything you write or read about him... It has an "IF"... LOL. Otherwise agree.

His athleticism doesn't jump off the screen... His hustle and strength and tech look pretty good... He looks like heavier interior version of Trey Hendrickson to me.

Everybody mad at this dude's availability history...but a lot of his missed time is just life happening. He was the #1 player in America coming out of High School. If not for the unfortunate events that caused him to miss time, he would not have been available to us.

This guy has all pro upside at a position of need. What more can you hope for at the tail end of the 1st round?
