Those of you who don't want injury history are in the wrong sport. Half the guys taken tonight have had a season ending injury or surgery at some point in their careers.

I really wanted Kancey, but this kid was the next best DT without a doubt even over the guy I liked at 40, Mazi Smith. I really would have liked Mayer cause I think he’s a can’t miss guy, but we needed a DT more than anything. I love the pick.

Nolan Smith is a 3-4 OLB & could only be a situational pass rusher in a 4-3 & we need starters.

I’m seeing a lot of discouraging comments but just remember we didn’t have a first round pick this year and to land a guy of need that was projected to go top 20 at 6’5 298 I can’t wait to see him wreak havoc on sundays.

Smith could have played Sam linebacker in the base and rusher in the nickel, not just situational.

I think it has to do with the fact that we keep drafting athletic freaks with injury history that turns into fruition once they play for us.

Just look at comments from talking heads about the picks before us. Did anyone mention injury concerns? I’m not sure but i would bet not many of them did

Yep. One of the scouting knocks is literally “doesn’t jump off the tape”. Production doesn’t look great.
Sunshine pumpers will always pump tho. Hopefully they’re right on this one. Will be cheering for the young man.
