No, it's not.Maybe if your a stock boy, but a multi million guaranteed contract to be a face of the franchise and leader of a national football team is a little different.
The Falcons heir apparent was a rookie that went 1-2 and had as many INTs as he had TDs on a far healthier team than Rattler had to work with. It's not so different than us. What they are doing though is getting that gross contract of Cousins off their books so they can have a shot at building something around Penix before his rookie deal is up. And I'm not saying Rattler is the guy, but he also hasn't proven to NOT be the guy. I think everyone knows Carr isn't the guy. It's certainly possible but a lot will depend on what Moore thinks of the rest of the QB room and/or his ability to address the position sooner than later.
The Falcons are going to do it with the heir apparent on the roster. The Broncos did it holding a high pick and knowing it was a deep QB draft. The Bucs had to move on.
Not disagreeing with you - I'm entirely open to moving on from Carr, but it has to work with the circumstances the Saints are faced with, and there are some important considerations that will need to align to support the move.
Yea it is. Maybe it’s not if your some progressive weirdo that wants two weeks off because you chipped a toe nail, but in the real world, of big business and big money, the expectations are 100% there. No, it's not.

And too many see them as gladiators. Gladiators were slaves and almost all of them retired by being murdered in an arena in front of rabidly bloodthirsty fans who cheered their murders.Too many don't see players as actual human beings.

I don't think they had charted their future at all. They drafted Penix 43 days after signing Cousins. He had never even taken a snap for them yet when Penix was drafted.Sure, I like Rattler as a prospect quite a bit. Will Moore? The point is that the Falcons had already charted their future by drafting the next guy. Part of the process, if the Saints do move on from Carr, is going to be them feeling good about a plan to replace him.
Yeah, you’ve made it pretty clear how you feel about Carr.it’s really not that surprising of a thing from a guy like Carr, this is literally the same guy, that after the Saints won their first game with Rizzi, went out of his way to Thank Dennis Allen for all he did instead. Guy knows it’s coming to an end here, it pretty obvious, should be this year after he lack of leadership during Super Bowl and his brothers clown responses on social media but even if it’s next year it’s over for him here.
If it was up to me he wouldn’t start another snap for this team
Well I guess you are going to be critical of Moore and how he doesn't have "it", because in his press conference he said his priorities are "faith, family and football." Even Moore doesn't make football the number one priority in his life.I am. I criticizing him. The simple fact that this isn't priority #1 is very telling to me unless something tragic has occurred with his family.

And I don't even think it's really about Rattler or whoever comes after, it's about knowing who it's not and not spending that money on them at the expense of the rest of the roster for any longer than necessary.
Having someone as the "future starter" only requires someone to say it and they aren't that reckless. However, there was an article recently that the front office was high on Rattler and there are now articles coming out about them having to make a decision on Carr. All during the time we were waiting on Moore to be hired. It could be coincidental, but that's a lot of smoke. That's not it, though. You are saying the Falcons are probably going to move on from Cousins (I agree) and I'm saying they have their future starter already on the roster. That's one of the steps the Saints have to figure out.
In line with your thoughts. And the Falcons are going to do it with Cousins, the Broncos did it with Wilson, the Bucs had to do it with Brady because of his retirement. It's not a crazy notion to move on from Carr and get back to a more normal range of cap management and the rest of the contracts void in 2026. Some want to gaslight people and make it seem crazy, but it's not. And what better time to do so than at the beginning of a new era.
These guys work less than any normal human being getting paid multi millions of dollars to play a game. Don’t you dare compare that to family’s that both parents have to struggle to work and have commitments to their jobs they have to go to in order to keep their job and keep the lights on at their homes. This is just unnecessary garbage.
On the topic, itself, condemning Carr without knowing why he's away from the team, and if the team has a problem with that, is presumptive. If there's something more going on, we'll find out in time. These players make a lot of money but they also sacrifice their health to entertain us, and miss a lot of time with their families during the season.
Yes, he makes millions, but he's still a human with a life outside of football.
