I don’t watch enough WNBA to know, but why was CC left off the Olympic squad? Were there really that many players better than her? Deadly shooter to go along with leading the league in assists. Why wouldn’t you want that on your squad?

there were only 12 players on the team. she isn't top at her positiion yet overall. WNBA all star may be a popularity contest, but the olympic commitee doesn't care about that. Honestly she isn't the best p;ayer on her team. but she will be eventually.

There was a glaring hatred for Reese 2 years ago after they played against each other in the NC. Reese's hand gesture triggered a lot of people and the still hate her for it.
I think Clark is a great player, but the one thing that irks me about her is her wanting to cry so much during the games, but if you watched her in College, she was the same way. so many times i saw her not defend after a TO because he was too busy crying to the ref. But other than that, she is an excellent player and hopefully grow out of it...

Yeah she isn't on Doncic's level, but she does do that too often and it likely doesn't accomplish much other than helping the other team score and making the refs defensive about their actions.

She would be better served waiting for a break and talking to the refs calmly and professionally. She may not get 'instant' results that way but over time I think she would get the benefit of more calls

its hard to change your personality overnight and i think she'll eventually mostly grow out of it.
But people need to not judge her by her fanbase, because they can be quite tiresome...

Just my 2 cents but it seems like a seniority-based system. Or at least if its a close call they were going with a vet over a rookie.

I think if they had a do-over they would've added CC - she's having a better year than most of the guards that were on the Olympic team.

But it probably helped her (and Angel) to get the break after going straight through from NCAAs to training camp

With the way Breanna Stewart played in the Olympics, I seriously doubt that. Stewart was everything CC could be in a few years, especially if she decreases the turnovers.

Then again, CC could have easily replaced Diana Taurasi.

Yeah, Sabrina and Vandersloot are the guards for New York. Stewart plays forward.

I didn’t think it was a huge deal that Clark wasn’t on the team (and she clearly needed the break after that opening stretch of their schedule), but in a re-do she probably replaces Gray or Taurasi.
