Nick Underhill: Players organizing a Players-Only Meeting (1 Viewer)

Hopefully they cover the details of catching passes during the players only meeting, I feel that's an important one that has been overlooked.

AK did mention things like not catching passes and noted that he is guilty of it too and pointed out that he did it in this game.

During the TC weren't guys catching weighted balls with water on it, etc? Yeah, that's working effecitvely.
Should have just imitated the summer of 10k catches that Chase and Jefferson did at LSU, appeared to work pretty well for those two. Instead we reinvented the wheel while the rest of the league rolls past us.

Honestly with a lot of the hospital balls being thrown lately, I wouldn't be surprised at all if a lot of these guys are bracing more for a killshot than focusing on catching the pass.

What could it really hurt! Players must play for each other and coaches should stay out of it! DA is walking on shells at this point! All coaches are open season with this team! NO one is safe! I mean the defense played well enough to win! Our freaking O just can’t score!

We're old, oft-injured, always on the wrong side of probability-busting events, heavily penalized, and can't tackle, but we make up for ALLLLLLL of that by being poorly coached.

It could be a players only meeting, a coaches only meeting, an owners only meeting, a Justice League or Avengers only meeting. This team is a poor man's Washington Generals. And every week, Curly and Meadowlark Lemon hit trick shots on us and run us out of the gym after pulling our shorts down.
Ain’t this the TRUTH!

I think these kind of meetings do nothing long term.

It's not like we are playing well but losing. We really didn't have a chance since the Philly game.

We almost have the same hope every Sunday as of Carolina.

A meeting like this will not improve the depth or our roster, will not bring better protections or tackling.

Reality is that we drafted, paid and coached players that are not bringing the expected results. It's just stupid to think we will reverse the situation with the same people.

What we need to do is finally bite the bullet, and start a five-year plan to be competitive again.
Not true , we had the lead with 1min let in the ATL game and if not for a DPI we would have won . Almost the same for the Philly game. We could have easily been 4-0 going into KC

I’ve really been patient on the fire DA train but this is crazy. It’s not even because of the players only meeting but the context of it. The lack of attention to detail is unbelievably concerning to me.

DA brought in Kubiak/Janocko/Grantham/Benton BECAUSE they were great, detail oriented coaches. How are we missing the small details? I just don’t get it. You hired these guys to teach and preach execution, timing, and rhythm and the players have to host a meeting to try to get this corrected? That’s insane.

The head coach sets the tone for the locker room and entire football side of the building; no one else. Others are there to support his vision, not create it.

If those guys brought in are lax, it’s because they were given “lax vibes” by the man in charge of them.

I still remember the day it was reported that the building was no longer so “tense” now that SP has left it, as if people were now relieved that those vibes were gone like it was a good thing. I opined at the time that “Tense sure won us a lot of games.” This whole lack of attention to detail thing we are constantly hearing about is the manifestation of the celebrated lack of “tense.”

That would require Mrs. B actually giving a crap about the state of the Saints.
Didn’t they just do major renovations and improvements to the cafeteria at the training facility? Taking it from one of the worst to one of the best? I believe that’s why training camp moved to CA this year.

No way bro…she isn’t on the sideline looking worried in the fourth quarter of games, or on ESPN issuing ultimatums to her coaches or telling reporters who is or isn’t playing this week like the only two or three owners we are actually exposed to on a regular basis which has shaped our opinion on what an involved owner looks like; there’s no way she gives a crap!

/sarcasm off
