No Way Rizzi can be our HC (4 Viewers)

Umm I think we saw what happened last time we promoted within our coaching staff.
Rizzi and Allen couldn't have more different coaching styles and personalities if you tried to draw it up. They might have been part of the same coaching staff, but they're miles different as coaches.

Yup, why not. I'm buying into the tank and hope we get a top 5 pick then trade it for more picks. 1 first and 1 second round pick is not going to give us the firepower we need to compete.
I hear you man.
I just hope that these picks are the right guys.

They were never HC material is my point. People on here were seriously ready to name him the next HC and some others were considering it; it was 2 games against 2 bad teams that he won. Hardly a big sample size. I think we have to do a whole rebuild of this team on the coaching staff side, and decide which players that we can hold on to and which we have to let go.

This showed Rizzi is not ready for Prime Time, dominated the first half and got 6 points. I want a defense again!! And an offense.
This is not Rizzi's team, he's the interim coach because the HC got fired and if he was the HC you guys would be asking for his dismissal, so let's all agree we do not have a HC right now.

This upcoming off season the owner needs to watch the GM like a hawk. Enough with the kick in the can down the road method. We just need to eat up the salary cap take the hits and build for a brighter future
We could probably get our of this mess within 2-3 seasons. A rough 2025 and 2026 could help us get back to normalcy. I just don't know if Miss Gayle will move Loomis to another spot in the organization.

I'm saying get a bigger sample size before making a decision on Rizzi. How hard is that?

He shouldn't be on the list. He is an interim, and a solid coach. Just not a head coach. New GM is the priority. And the new GM picking his guy.

Get rid of the idea of a new GM. Just completely forget about it, and start the self-therapy now. You’re just setting yourself up for disappointment and for something to complain about in January.

Absolutely no answer or adjustments at halftime. McVay outcoached him by a wide margin in the second half. We had no answers defensively.

Sorry but a a long time fan I will never get on board with a tank. So don’t tell us fans what we should do because you want a higher draft pick.
That's all good...just as long as you don't get mad about trading 2026's 1st to move up 6 spots because we won 4 meaningless games with the playoffs out of reach.

He’s like a trader who’s been given a loss making portfolio and asked to exit the position minimising the losses.

He’s doing a decent job making the product palatable, but he was never going to pull off a miracle.
Well said.

He had a test today and he failed the season is officially over and the fans need to get on board with the tank.

The Pelicans are not as bad off as the Saints. They just need to trade Brandon Ingram for a 15-20ppg center and hope in the lottery they get one of the top 2 picks and they are golden. If they get Cooper Flagg they will win a chip in the next 3 to 4 years.
Just by how the NBA is set up against small markets, the Saints are better off.

There is already a thread about his clock mismanagement, If he wins the next 5 games I will gladly eat crow. We both know that isn't going to happen. We shouldn't even be considering him as HC if the Saints want to retain him as ST coach than fine but we should really be looking outside the organization for a HC if we want to actually have any meaningful change.
