No Way Rizzi can be our HC (3 Viewers)

Then we deal with it at that point. It's really premature at this point. Rizzi is 2-1 with a team that lost 6 in a row prior. Allen was awful and I don’t want that kind of coach replacing Rizzi. Let him finish out the season and we can talk shop then.
Definitely let him finish out. As I stated he wins out and goes 7-1 we give him a serious look. Short of that open the door to all top candidates we can get to the table.

Time for someone new.
Only if it's someone better. Change for the sake of change doesn't work either. Whatever we do, I don't want another Allen style HC. A leader of men like Rizzi, I'd much rather have.

If the team hires a fiery young coach who is hungry to prove himself and holds his staff and players accountable, I'm all for it. I don't want the status quo.

The Rams scored TDs on the last two possessions prior to our final possession. We weren't going to stop the Rams so we wanted to have the final possession. It didn't work out but it was a sound strategy considering the way that game was going.
Absolutely. I wanted them to grind out the clock and take a shot there. If they didn't get there, so be it. It was the strategy I was calling for. Just too bad Hill got hurt.

Agreed. And fwiw, we should be doing due diligence regardless, even if Rizzi wins out. The remaining games will be a good chance to see if he measures up.

And tbh, from all I've seen so far, he's brought a lot to the table and is still miles better than Allen.

Unlike many of you, this game has put me SQUARELY in the Rizzi camp. We should have been blown out by the Rams. Rizzi had this team in position to tie and/or win with no #1 receiver, no #2 receiver, no # 1 lineman, no true backup RB, a team that previously lost 7 straight, and I can go on and on. Give Rizzi a squad and I believe he would do wonders. And about that last drive: it was frickin’ brilliant. Drive down the field, score a touchdown, and leave minimal to no time for the opponent. Go into overtime at home. BRILLIANT! It didn’t work out, especially since a key weapon in T. Hill for such an occasion was not available. But the plan was awesome. Give me Rizzi!

Yeah, I'm with you on a lot of this, although I still want to see a larger body of work.

I will say that the team has been far more fun to watch than they were when Allen was HC.

They can reset easier than the saints but no one wants Zion or Ingram in spite of how much I’d love for them to be traded.

Griffin is a terrible GM though and I cannot stand the way he’s stuck with those two.
Griffin is horrible but the real problem is Loomis. Mickey does his job exactly like someone who knows they won’t be fired. Dark days ahead for New Orleans sports

Unprepared?? They shut their arses out the first half. The boy genius was completely pissed off and it showed. The last drive was doing what it was designed to do. Score and leave them little to no time to do anything and I’m not convinced he would have gone for the tie either had they scored. Hill’s injury and questionable play calling got in the way. He may not be the answer as the next head coach but he still might be someone you want on the next staff.

I guess we all have our opinions but I respectfully disagree.

Yes on many fronts but I cautioned right after Rizzi was hired we need to be careful on an interim coach. Regardless of who it was, because Allen was so bad a couple of wins and the interim would look like a savior. That's exactly what happened. I think Rizz is definitely a fiery guy. That said, we have to do our due diligence regardless of where he finishes the season. My concern is who is in charge of the search?

First I’d love to see the strategy to out tank the Giants/Raiders/Jags/Pats etc. That is not a feasible strategy when 2 of them are on the schedule.

I wouldn’t mind a higher pick but there’s no one except maybe Hunter that will single-handedly help turn a franchise around. This draft is weak.
Hunter will not single-handedly turn a team around. He's small to play WR. He's Olave's size and would be hurt often, just like Olave. He'll play most likely DB where he'd be a liability against the run

He had a test today and he failed the season is officially over and the fans need to get on board with the tank.

The Pelicans are not as bad off as the Saints. They just need to trade Brandon Ingram for a 15-20ppg center and hope in the lottery they get one of the top 2 picks and they are golden. If they get Cooper Flagg they will win a chip in the next 3 to 4 years.
NO, the Pels are worse off than the Saints. At least the Saints will get a new HC and the Pels are stuck with Green and he's awful. The Pels can't seem to give away BI, Z can't stay on the court and Griff is worse than Loomis

I want Aaron Glen.

I think that’s the lazy hire we’ll probably make just because Loomis already has a relationship with him. We need an offensive head coach.
