No Way Rizzi can be our HC (3 Viewers)

Man it's wild how quick ya'll are to turn on players and coaches. Last week, Rizzi was the second coming. This week, he's a loser and shouldn't ever be a HC. I'm rewatching the game now and I don't see a coach in over his head. Things happen, mistakes included.

I'm on the get a new head coach team, but to bag on Rizzi after one loss is asinine. We must have a lot of Latinas on this site. Good lord.

I’ve liked Rizzi. Not many head scratching plays, and letting the time run was smart, if we score no time for the other team to win. Which happened way too often in the past. Bad refs hurt us most, second would be failure of the defense in the second half, third no receiving threats due to injuries, and lastly no qb protection on passing downs.

I just started to type when is Payton’s contract up with Broncos? Then i realized we need to just completely detach from that era and start another legacy. I thought for a second Payton would make a solid GM but then i thought about all of the questionable draft decisions and FA decisions he probably had a hand in. Time for a new era of genius and motivators. Keep Rizzi as assistant coach at all costs though

First I’d love to see the strategy to out tank the Giants/Raiders/Jags/Pats etc. That is not a feasible strategy when 2 of them are on the schedule.

I wouldn’t mind a higher pick but there’s no one except maybe Hunter that will single-handedly help turn a franchise around. This draft is weak.

Higher pick we can trade down and fill up on youth. This team is too old. Past drafts haven’t found the starters we need to keep up with attrition. And with our brainchild at the helm, more picks is the only way to shore up these positions. Maybe we can get 12 picks and find 5 starters this draft, but it’s been 1or 2 starters per year for a while. Unacceptable

I think Payton is more likely coaching to get to that 200 win mark to get into the Hall.
He’s probably only gonna be coaching five to six years.

Just by how the NBA is set up against small markets, the Saints are better off.

These small markets are doing just fine recently:

San Antonio
OKC
Cleveland
Milwaulkee
Memphis
Orlando
Minnesota
Indiana

The last two went to conference finals just six months ago.

Medium sized markets like Denver/Phoenix have done well too.

The Pels are in the gutter for various reasons of their own doing but it’s not market size.

A double digit number of franchises of won a title and more have gone to a finals in the past 15 years.

I don't know. He obviously wasn't perfect today, but it's his 3rd game as an interim HC having taken over in the middle of a season. None of the rest of the staff was chosen by him, he's just getting the team ready to play games. I think he did that today, but the team isn't very good despite being ready to play. My preference is to blow up the entire coaching staff, but I don't think this game eliminated Rizzi completely either.

Let’s see how he does in bellwether games like WSH/GB/TB before deciding.

If he goes 2-1 against that group then I’d give him a good look. That’s 3-2 against at least average to good teams if you include ATL/LAR.

NO, the Pels are worse off than the Saints. At least the Saints will get a new HC and the Pels are stuck with Green and he's awful. The Pels can't seem to give away BI, Z can't stay on the court and Griff is worse than Loomis

This months schedule is rough rough so they may not have a choice in a couple weeks.

BI going to klutch is good news imo.

There is going to be about 8 other teams ALL with better cap situations than us looking for a coach. I worry we will be in the beggars can't be choosers category.
