I gotta be honest…that’s a great assessment.I was only on board with hiring this dude as head coach, if I started to see this team get better at small details: tackling, committing less self inflicting penalties when a big play is absolutely crucial. Disciplined football, stopping the run, no more stupid def pass interference penalties when the game is on the line or a crucial 3rd down, the offense shooting themselves in the foot. None of these are changing. So in my opinion, he doesn't get my vote. I want a more disciplined and feared team.
That fails more often than not. Most teams that "tank" are trash teams in the first place and have people in place that don't know how to turn an organization around. Was traveling back home, so I caught a replay of the game early this morning and it wasn't the doom and gloom I read. Could we have done some things better, yes? But crapping on Rizzi for this game? I can't. We have 2 1/2 seasons of systemic issues and yall want a guy to fix all of that in 3 games when the foundation is still in place. I think some of us need to be a little more realistic. I think as long as we remain completive in every game and he, himself, finishes the season with a winning record, he shouldn't be disqualified. What your saying holds salt until we are on draft night and the team that bought into the tank picks your guy that turns their franchise around.
That's on the OC and DC.He's a good guy. But, he doesn't bring anything dynamic or special to the position. On a team that's lacking in dynamic, game-changing players.
I'd rather stick with Rizzi than hire Glenn. I'd rather hire an up and coming offensive minded, young and hungry coach who is a leader of men type like Rizzi is. I'm not sure who's out there who fits that description, but Glenn would be the opposite of that.I don't understand what the plan is for Loomis. I'm not going to try and defend it. But I have a feeling Rizzi is a lock for the head coaching position, so Loomis can keep doing what he's been doing.
I agree with the majority. To much sloppiness all around yesterday coming out of a bye week is very disappointing. It's obvious the team needs to be a bit blown up and start over with all new coaching. I just don't think Loomis will do it.
At most, we'll see Aaron Glenn hired, and being quite honest, feels underwhelming. I would approach next season extremely cautiously optimistic understanding the likelihood that we continue to be a bad team.

i see zero explanation why Rizzi over Glenn.I'd rather stick with Rizzi than hire Glenn.
