Not without its positives for sure. It’s has positives though. To the second news updates more than just sports too. The biggest issue is people’s ego’s get inflated when they aren’t speaking directly in front of the person they’re communicating with.
I believe that he doesn’t want to be here, but he doesn’t want to give up his guaranteed money either. If he wanted out. He would of cut a deal and got out. He didn't.
Carr is 34 years old and probably missing any chance of real post season glory at this point staying with us.
So, if Carr was itching that badly to be a FA. Either he's a coward that bit his tongue or it's not true. I'm more willing to believe that it's not true.
He has no incentive at this point of his career to be loyal to a situation that he didn't want to be in to finish his career.
Get $10.00/hour working at Chipotle.get me far away from the place that wants to pay me 30M per year. id rather flip burgers for $5.00 per hour at a fan friendly burger joint. Makes sense
Keep posting clown posts and I'll keep clowning them.Uh oh, Derek's alleged brother twice removed, 'stinkers' is back clowning posts!
Not without its positives for sure.
One of the biggest negatives to me is it allows many folks to say nasty things to another only because they have the protection of relative anonymity and without getting smacked in the face. Things they’d never say in person lol.
Also it has made folks judge their entire existence on how many likes or follows they can get. Utterly disgusting but alas I’m just an old man screaming at the sky.
Chipotle’s corporate national manager is following this thread, and he texted me that he’s going to hire DC4 to be their national spokesman for 50M per year. That way, when Carr finally leaves NOLA, he can flip the fans off with both hands.Get $10.00/hour working at Chipotle.
Other players have wanted out and demanded a trade. They have threatened to sit out to do so. Some reason Carr is trapped though? If it made no sense then it wouldn't be done. I'll let you consider why it's in the teams best interest to move on and why they usually meet the players demands. They even had to start penalizing players because it was too powerful a move.
If he doesn't want to be here, he can force their hand. The logical reasoning is that he was exploring a trade (Loomis probably too at one point). Moore decided he wanted to keep Carr. They talked and decided to go another year then restructured.
You get the same headlines from reporters wanting to make their noise but the reality isnt as exciting and actually makes sense. All they have to say is "technically at one point he was looking other places", same cya stuff as usual.
I’d argue that anyone (myself included) who gets worked up about grown men playing a game for multi millions, is a delusional person who enjoys drama to begin with. The point of sitting out is to force a trade. It's greatly in the Saints interest to get something for him at that point.
You call him a Pro on one side and a guy who gets blind side trapped by a restructure on the other.
These people are business men with agents. Be more realistic.
I'll admit your right if he sits out. Otherwise this is more offseason teen drama among delusional fans.
I don't anymore. I always took the Chipotle stuff as just giving him a hard time but this dudes gone out of his way to earn his reputation.i really feel bad for Carr. I hope he's not on this forum.......Some peeps on here are pretty harsh!
Biggest curiosity to me is the folks who are outraged when others see something from a different point of view. To your last, exactly as it should be imo. No reason for folks to throw ad hominems in, to bash others etc.Again, believe what you want. But these aren't click bait headlines. These are stories from real journalists that didn't even used them as headlines to sell anything. None of the five have any reason to make this story up. But you can choose to not believe it.
Underhill and Triplet both built up sources while they were both working for other outlets. I think those sources carried over when they when they branched out on their own. An entirely new coaching staff this year and slow changes to the roster have probably eliminated most of their direct connections.
As negative as they've been about the Saints for the past couple of months, I doubt the new regime is going to share anything with either of them that they could negatively spin. I have a feeling that they are both going to be on the outside looking in a lot more from now on.
Also, players don't have complete information on most of team business, so a single player isn't the best source of information. I don't get the impression that any sports reporter looks for multiple corroborating sources before they post things on the internet.
A lot of people get their feelings hurt with any news stories that can be interpreted to paint Derek Carr in a negative light.Again, believe what you want. But these aren't click bait headlines. These are stories from real journalists that didn't even used them as headlines to sell anything. None of the five have any reason to make this story up. But you can choose to not believe it.
So Carmichael in a nutshell lolTreat it how you want, but this is now the fourth or fifth person to report this or something similar. Florio, Breer, Underhill/Triplett, and Kirwin all have reported similar things. Apparently Carr preferred to be cut or traded and was willing to waive his no trade clause. The Saints asked him to take a pay cut but he refused and indicated that he would rather go. But, Moore wants him to start at least this year so the Saints did the standard restructure which they can do without his consent. I can't swear that the details are correct but 4 to 5 sources have now reported something similar so it seems pretty clear that Carr doesn't really want to be here and he's here because Moore wanted him as his starter this year. I'm sure Carr will still play his best, but it appears that he would rather be playing some place else.
