I am a little worried...why? Donnie Edwards done deal thats why. who knew? tyler knew thats who or was it zimmerman?

A site you should NEVER trust...but the poster who posted this is "reliable and legit", according to the people who do post there..said this..




"No official announcement yet b/c technically its tampering for them to have worked something out, but its going to be announced soon.

I got that from two sources. First one is a guy that I know who was an assistant coach for the niners and the other is a family member who works for Fox Sports. 99% sure...

Anybody excited about this? I hope its not another Jason David scenario...

The touchdown a game guaranteed was because we were not able to collapse the pocket and harass the quarterback. If you can't do that, then that fact makes the job harder for the linebackers, which makes the job harder for the cornerbacks. EVERYTHING RIPPLES OUTWARD FROM THE LINE OF SCRIMMAGE!! The better the defensive line, the easier it is for our linebackers, and if we upgrade them, they are even better! If they are even better, our cornerbacks are awesome!! WHO DAT!!!
 
I agree with starting at the line. But signing a top FA CB gives us more options in the draft, possibly allowing us to work on getting up to Ellis or Dorsey. We've got so many defensive needs, I don't really care which order they are ticked off in, just so long as they all are!
 
All I know is if this is true, no one should ever doubt Benson's commitment to trying to put a winner on the field.(although the drafting of Reggie should have cemented that for most)

The defense is a unit with many parts which all have an effect on one another. It is true that a corner can only cover a receiver so long, but it is also true that the opposition's tackles can probably only cover Will Smith and dare I say Charles Grant for so long. If a QB sees Jason David playing 10 yards off, it's not going to be hard to complete passes, just as with our awful safeties in coverage a stop and go route is going to work a lot. If Samuel and hopefully McKenzie are our corners and can be in position for 5 seconds then it's going to give Will Smith and Grant and the defensive tackles more time to get to the quarterback. I agree that if true no-one can complain about this signing. I think in our scheme Jason David can also be an asset, rather than a liability playing nickle
