It's not his 1st mistake , The most important job a WR has is to catch the ball especially when it hits them in BOTH hands when the game is on the line. His and TP's situation are apples and polar bears could not be more different

It doesn't matter. No QB is going to be on time or on target this season. The line was mediocre to begin with and it isn't getting better any time soon. Even when they eventually come back, the chemistry won't be there anymore. I know you have a thing for Adams, but he isn't changing anything that happened tonight. He'd be another 2-3 catch receiver like the rest of them.

Sure, the Browns made the deal giving up the farm for Watson, but rest assured had they not the Clowns would have found a way to keep the Saints from that misery.

I think Olave and Shaheed are serviceable on a run first offense that doesn't run many 3 WR sets. THAT is what was working the first two weeks when we were scoring 40+ points. When those guys return, the team will be better. Heck, I'd rather have a new RB2 and split AK out if we needed a 3rd WR than pay what the Raiders are asking for Adams.

Some of those deep balls to Shaheed and Tipton that they couldn't come down with may have been different with a WR like Adams.

Those were all missed opportunities.

When the Saints have to make a play and the other team blitzes, Carr has no time, and the Saints receivers can't win on their routes.

None. This is the hypothetical scenario where we have a talented and healthy line that we don't have. Did you see the wall AK ran into tonight? 11 carries for 26 yards. That kept us behind the chains the entire game and relying on a passing game that can't function without protection. The Chiefs sold out on the run on obvious running downs and blitzed on passing downs. Other teams know who we are.

This game is won or lost in the trenches and we are not good in the trenches. That is unlikely to improve this season and no skill position player is going to change that. An expensive one costing draft picks will only set the team back from fixing it next year.

You make a good point and a solid argument for a better use of resources.

That would put AK in more favorable positions to succeed and having another quality RB to share snaps would take the heavy load off of Alvin.

Tonight was a case where the holes weren't there (Oline woes or not) and the play calls were getting Kamara smothered up.

His stat line says it all. He had 11 rushes for 26 yards, averaging 2.4 yards per carry. He came into the game averaging 20 rushing attempts for 90 yards @ 4.5 YPC

Through 4 games he was tied for the lead in rushing touchdowns and total touchdowns. Tonight, he was held without a TD. He did show up in the passing game.

KC wasn't going to let Kamara beat them by himself.

It's not just excuses when calling out the extreme number of injuries the Saints have had to the Oline.
