Saints at the top of Davante Adams’ wish list [Raiders trade Adams to Jets for conditional 3rd ; Jets paying Adams’ entire remaining salary] (2 Viewers)

I'm not saying we need to give up too much for Adams, and apparently, other teams aren't willing to break the bank either, so the question is do the Raiders want to pay to make him go away? I mean, they're gonna pay regardless. The only question is how much.

As for the other needs, some of those we can't practically address immediately because there's no one readily available. Adams is available and that's why he's getting the bulk of the attention.

I'm sure ML has a proposal in mind and will walk away if the Raiders don't play along.
Serious question, is Adams a cancer with the Raiders? Has he caused locker room problems for them? I understand wanting to get something back for him if he's not in the future plans. But to pay to make him go away seems kind of crazy.

This.

And with that, I believe that he will go to the New York Jets.

The Saints are not an attractive destination right now. No cap space and injuries aplenty.

The Jets have more money to play and with, an easier schedule than the Saints and now that the owner Aaron Rod.........I mean Woody Johnson has fired Saleh, Rodgers can now tell his buddy, "Let's you and me show them how it's done."

Devante Adams will be a Jet by weeks end........

I don't necessarily disagree about the Jets being the more attractive spot for him, but we need to continue to remind ourselves that this is a trade situation, not a free agent pursuit.

Ultimately, it sounds like from the tea leaves that he's open to both places, and it's going to come down to the compensation bids his current team is receiving.

100% correct. The Jets just have more money to play with and money talks quite loudly in these situations.........

I do think something has happened between he and Pierce on a personal level. JMO.

Pierce liking that tweet days ago kind of points to it, but who knows.

Yep...however we have the caveat of (potentially) being the one making the better compensation offers.

Like was indicated by the report days ago, the Saints have been the "most aggressive," which can be read in a few different ways.

I don't know. It sure seems like he wants out though. He sat out this week. They're literally paying him to do nothing right now. So, they can pay for some of his salary and get a draft pick in exchange for him leaving. At least they get something of value there. Paying him to twiddle his thumbs the rest of the season wouldn't make much sense for them.

Not sure how appealing the Jets are right now given that they just fired their head coach and had security escort him out. With that said, this team needs more than a high priced/profile wideout.

I've said from the beginning we wouldn't get Adams because we never get these guys, but at this point it doesn't matter if we do or don't. Our Oline can't block for Carr (or insert any Saints QB), and they can't open lanes for the RBs. Getting Tae might lighten the box but it help them win one-on-one blocks.

No one to blame but bad luck. I can blame Carr for throwing jump balls to Shaheed in triple coverage but can't blame him for the pressure he's feeling.

I get your point but not why I’m there. I’m a huge Jets fan and always have been. lol

I’m not a member of any other NFL boards besides Saints and Jets.
Really? Wow, it might be time for a new sport to root for? JK. I was genuinely excited for the Jets and the A.Rodgers saga. (I followed that giant thread for months) Poor Jets fans, they seem to suffer unlucky repetitive trauma that its almost comical. Ive been learning some new coping methods following them.
