Gayle deserves some credit here. It’s obvious to me and maybe others Mickey didn’t want to do it.
She earned my respect today. A big time move that I’m sure was difficult to make, but she made it and did the right thing, IMHO.

Now.. let's see how quickly Loomis screws this up.

No more defensive head coaches, pls.
For what it's worth, an outsider view who wants their team to win the division I would be happy to see Bill B or Griden get the gig. It would seem like a play for ESPN Talking Head relevancy.

My biggest fear is ya'll come courting our OC if Bowles survives.

We need a 2016-17 level reset

Things looked dire in 14/15 but 2 good classes that produced a dozen quality players.
Yep, we should be picking at the top of every round, and we need quantity….its harder to miss when you have more try’s at the target.

He was our defensive backs coach for the Super Bowl run. Tracy Porter, Malcolm Jenkins and Jabari Greer's coach. DBs coach was always the best place for him and what he is best at. Even this season.
Yes, but being a good DB coach isn't a hall of fame worthy honor, which is what I was arguing against.

I think the people invested in worst case scenarios around here were those still defending and promoting Allen’s tenure as HC since the end of last season.

Now maybe they can let go of defending failure and deriding those not supportive of where Allen was clearly taking the Saints.

Peace!

Yup....all the brainiacs that did mental gymnastics to defend DA look pretty silly now.....especially the guy that said "told you so after 2 games"......it's like someone doesn't realize the NFL season is very long and unpredictable....

Whatever, time to move on.....

She caught a lot of flack, but it was ultimately her who put Dennis on the guillotine. I'm curious about Rizzi though and to see if this team can get a grasp. I don't agree w/ those saying this is a bottom 5 roster. Hardly, but I do think it needs another 7-8 man draft class

I agree the roster is better than the results and I'm fine giving Rizzi a shot as interim. But I really do want to just move on to a fresh new head coach with a fresh new staff. I'm just not sure you can get rid of whatever led to the lack of attention to detail, lack of accountability, and lack of execution that went on with DA without getting an entirely new staff.

Rizzi is a legit candidate. Several Dolphins players publicly supported Rizzi getting the job that ultimately went to Brian Flores. Players love the guy.

He may end of being a great head coach, but I'm not sure it can happen here because no matter what he does he will be seen as a continuation of DA and all the bad things that came with it. IMO, this team, and Rizzi, both need a totally fresh start.

I completely agree. We need new faces in all of those offices, training rooms, etc. Maybe keep the equipment guys because they really run the show around most teams. Although even those guys mismatched some of the gold colors this year for a few players.

Seriously? I don't want Vrabel but that's an idiotic comment. One dude went 54-45 in his career. The other is a bottom 3 all time worst HC in the history of the sport.

No. Not seriously. It was a joke. And you having to even ask is an idiotic question.

Vrabel is an okay coach, but not what we need. He's another retread, conservative, defensive minded coach, and he had mediocre results. We need more than that.
