Hopefully secondary coach. His scoring defenses were middle of the pact and his defenses created turnovers ranking was bottom 3rd of the league. Both are averages over the duration of time that he was our DC

We overrated him vastly as a DC
Not me. I'm on record saying he wasn't great while others said he was.

I think his post were spot on. He dont even sound bitter at the saints he just dont like Allen and Carr. The fact that he even watches all the games and even sounds like a true fan upset with the results on the field says the opposite. To keep it real almost everything he said has been pretty spot on. Medical staff we had plethora of injuries. Since carr has been QB we been losing WR left and right. He said Dennis allen was soft almost ever star player has been underwhelming since DA took the helm. MT just a straight shooter and call a spade a spade/
Nah, he's become unhinged. It's more than disliking two people. He has issues and needs help. Though I bet if he and Antonio Brown did a podcast together, it would be a glorious train wreck.

Saints have some trades to finalize tomorrow, before they let Loomis go. Loomis gone on Wednesday, LOL.

In all seriousness, I think you are correct. Loomis been here 23 years and has been quite valuable to the Saints organization through that time. He's fantastic with the operational side of the business, and the financial side, but sorely lacking in the personnel skills. When CSP left, Loomis was exposed for those shortcomings.

DA had to go, because there's no way to demote a HC and have a new guy take charge. That's a recipe to split the locker room, unless the HC is HATED that much; and you don't wait this long to fire a guy who's hated that much. GM is a different dynamic. It's easy enough to "promote" them out of the GM position, especially when you're nearing "retirement age" and have served the organization well over your tenure.

At this point, Mrs. Benson is doing the things normally required of a GM, so I find it curious that ML isn't doing these things. I'm speculating that he's focused on the Tuesday trade deadline, and that he'll be transitioned out of GM by end of season. Probably already "out", in practice, but not official until end of season. Khai Harley is literally the SAME GUY as ML, and I'll bet he can do everything that ML can do for the remainder of the season. Between Ireland, Mueller, and Harley, the GM responsibilities can be divvied up and/or assumed. But the fact that we're hearing reports that the OWNER reached out to players; and the OWNER traded e-mails with players; and the OWNER fired DA....these are ALL jobs I would expect the GM to do. Considered collectively, this indicates to me that ML was "iced out". Time will tell.
Thats a logical conclusion. Look its probably time to move on to another GM. You cant put a team in CAP hell with no way out for at least 2-3 seasons and still field a bottom 5 team and think the GM should be spared.

If Gayle had said to Sean Payton.... "i hope we tie..." and then Fired Dennis Allen after starting a Rookie that had no business starting that would have been Savage. But, I'll take "classy".

Hell, I'd be totally fine with DA taking back the DC job here. When he just focuses on that, he's honestly one of the best in the league. That's where he should have stayed in the first place.
No. Get him far away from this team. You want teams to automatically convert 3rd downs and have our 2 minute defense be trash? Then bring DA in. The only thing he was good at was identifying good DB's, so maybe as a secondary coach, but keep him away from being the DC.

I guess I don't have a problem with it because I think reporting those things only hurts the team. I'd rather he keep information that is from confidential sources that can hurt the team private.

Plus he did report on the locker room issues that occured last year. All this article did was add to the details of those issues. But he very much so reported that DA almost lost the locker room last year.

I mean in this instance it may have helped get Allen fired faster but in other instances it could hurt the team. And if he reports this stuff without the permission of the sources then he loses those sources. No reporter, especially one that only reports on one thing, is going to risk their sources for one story.
He also reported yesterday that he officially lost the locker room. I mean, that's some smoke right there and as we know today, it was because of a fire.

I'm not sure how much good it would do to fire Loomis now. It's not like you are going to hire a new GM mid-season because nobody is going to let their guys interview mid-season. It could also be that the plan is to move Loomis to another position so it would make sense to do that at the end of the season.

Or, this was just a warning shoot for Loomis that he either starts doing a better job or he is next.
I understand the issues but showing the fans and players you do not agree with the direction with how management was moving forward now will prove a lot.

The issue I see is if I remember right Loomis was also involve heavily with the Pelicans. Moving him completely may leave a gap there they do not want to see just yet but then again, has he been messing them up also?

No. Not seriously. It was a joke. And you having to even ask is an idiotic question.

Vrabel is an okay coach, but not what we need. He's another retread, conservative, defensive minded coach, and he had mediocre results. We need more than that.

I honestly can't stand Vrabel, ever since the Titans blowed us out during CSP's last year where we had like over half the team on IR or out, he acted like he just blew out a SB team or something....he's a jackhole......and we don't need another conservative d-bag coach.....in today's NFL aggressive offensive minded coaches have an advantage IMO (mostly due to the rules)......

Loomis is not heavily involved with the Pelicans.

Yep Carr was the reason he threw a brick at someone’s windshield!

For all you people celebrating, this team is no better without DA then it was with DA. So enjoy your moment while the Falcons destroy the Saints this Sunday.

Yes, it makes so much more sense to keep him around.....

1) Maybe true, maybe not, you have no way of knowing.....
2) This season is lost anyways, and DA is part of the reason why, it's time to find the next coach who maybe a keeper.....

Hope is worth celebrating for some....
