Saints hosted RB Kareem Hunt and LB Anthony Barr (Upd: Hunt leaves Colts/Vikings visits w/ no deal; Giants cancel Barr visit) (1 Viewer)

😂 yea shame on them for keeping their options open to see what would benefit their families the most. SHAME ON THEM
Good for them, guess what. Better hope they get better offers I would pull mine off the table see how they look then. It’s not Saints responsibility to feed their families it’s their responsibility to build depth. Want to find a better option to find it. Who says they should still have one here.

You know loomis gave him a number and said “we aren’t budging” now here we are lol. The colts might be the only other team who even called his agent so it makes sense to see what they’ll give. If it’s not too much further off I can see him coming back. Who wants to play for Jim Irsay? 🤢

Yea but honestly, I don’t like the implication we are the second best option. Both had no options all off season now they want to play games. I want a guy that is gonna come here
Because he wants to be part of the team. Not a guy that’s looking for an extra $200,000 and begrudgingly comes here cause he can’t find it. How much heart is he gonna have in it then?

The RB market the way it is is created by the RBs and their bone headed agents.

You're actually condoning greed? You approve of somebody waisting everyone's time just to see if he could squeeze out more money from another team?
Hunt supposedly already had his "bag" from Indy, but he wanted a larger bag from somebody else. Well I say, good riddance!
The dude's
a multimillionaire, I'm sure he won't have any trouble feeding his family!
Me and you live in 2 different worlds.

Before signing a contract or accepting a job, i will do my due diligence in meeting with as many employers seeking my services.

It is not always about who gives the most money. You want to meet management, personnel, view facilities, the city, etc. It will be whatever he feels is the best fit for himself and his family, AS IT SHOULD BE.

If it is about him seeking the most money, then good for him. He is a runningback in the nfl, already 28. This is pretty much it for him. This contract may be his last.

If it were any other position than rb, I’d probably agree with you. But if I’m playing rb today, I’m chasing the bag.

You’re looking it at strictly as a fan. Put on your Loomis cool business sportscoat and shades and look as it as a GM running a business. If they can get better (more expensive for the team) contracts elsewhere, more power to them. And if they’re (and their agents) are pulling an Ingram (who I love), then more power to us.

Wait, isn’t Hunt really, really good?
He was a pro bowler in 2017 but has been just a guy ever since. Averaged under 4 yards a carry last season. Ran for under 500 yards last 2 seasons. 35 catches last season.

I wouldn't mind him for depth/Kamara suspension replacement at the right price but I'm not pulling my hair out if he goes elsewhere.

Am I crazy, but as a RB wouldn’t sharing the load maximize your big play ability due to being fresher when you do get touches? I think it keeps all RBs hungry and running hard due to them having to take advantage of the opportunity more. I also see the other side of more touches in general. Just interesting to think about the different ways RBs may look at situations.

These guys will not be on large contracts so it makes sense for them to try to pick the best place for their families to live for the time they are here! While money is great, family happiness is more important at a certain point.

I don't see why Hunt would want to come here. 4th on the depth chart after 3 games and doesn't bring anything different to the table than what we already have.

Barr meanwhile only has to beat out Baun to start at strong side linebacker.
