Saints released Michael Thomas per Duncan; Thomas & Winston are Post-June 1 cuts (3 Viewers)

I wonder what other NFL teams think about a player who goes off like this?
Does it prevent them from having an interest knowing he has these outbursts?
Sure didn’t stop the Raiders when Antonio Brown was losing his mind lol. Gruden didn’t even want to release him. It’s really all about your production and what you can do. MT hasn’t had the production portion consistently in years, but he won’t cost a lot either.

So Jeff Duncan goes from supposedly trashing the organization during bountygate for boosting his career to now he’s this big mouthpiece for the organization because his articles includes all facts and entire timelines of events. Doesn’t make any sense at all. A narrative keeps being repeated about he’s a mouthpiece and it’s accepted based on that statement continuously repeated over and over with no proof. The internet can make any narrative become true if it’s constantly repeated

Our Head Coach who apologized to our biggest rival for “running up the score” and threw players under the bus has drug this organization through the mud more than MT ever did.
Maybe I don't catch enough Saints news but I don't think I ever heard anyone from the organization disparage MT... well except for Sean Payton when it appeared MT delayed having some medical procedure, costing him some camp time. Anyway, I don't know what benefit the team gets from airing MT's dirty laundry. I didn't know he had dirty laundry. But to the extent anything surrounding MT being out there for public consumption, at least a major component must be attributed to the same epidemic that plagues a lot of players and people in general, that are from MT's generation, their own use of social media.

It’s going to be funny coming back to this thread when MT leaves and never gets hurt again like CMC when he left Carolina lol.
Or when he never gets signed anywhere and starts has new career as a janitor.

If anyone should be a janitor it’s our Head Coach 🤡
I mean you're not wrong. Hopefully you aren't under the delusion that just because I don't like Michael Thomas, that makes me a Dennis Allen fan. I can understand how that might be hard for you.

Yeah I've always disliked him being called slant boy. He's always been referred to as that by my friends who aren't Saints fans. That's pretty much how he's viewed around the league, outside of us Saints fans. He was more than that to me.
Heck Jerry Rice became the best receiver to ever play running 3 routes, an out, a slant and a post. Randy Moss made a living with the go pattern and jump ball. I'm no way comparing MT but I don't have a problem with his perfecting just a couple routes in the Payton system. He was the best at his position for one year. Its too bad the rest of his career after that season was marred by injuries, and now by his social media posts.

For what it's worth; Michael Thomas was ( and maybe, if healthy) one of the most CLUTCH WRs The SAINTS have ever had....His rookie season was clearly insane and Drew knew how to trust and get him the ball in critical situations.....Having written that, his injuries and time off of the field were baffling, got CSP to call him out and MT's contract made him wealthy while not healthy or at least not playing~! So, just as a fan, I'd like to see him play again and be a great as he was, just not with The SAINTS as that ship seems to have sailed. This is the business side of current day NFL . I'd love to see Carr find his groove with the new OC, step up his game feeling and avoiding the sacks he took and become a dependable QB for us.....Somehow I have my doubts but that's another story. I wish MT the best going forward and all of us WHODATS can only imagine what could have been...........

I don't think he's a mouthpiece for the organization. That's just what MT is implying. I think he's a giant Richard who will swing anyway the wind blows if he thinks it'll get him some readers. In my book, he's insufferable. We're talking about the guy who when he released his book, during the highest moment in the franchise's history, decided to highlight wearing paper bags in the title of it. He's like that uncle who while everyone else is congratulating you at your graduation on a job well done decides this is the perfect time to bring up, "hey remember how your fiancée dumped you during first year of law school? Man, you were a mess for months, Hahaha! Whatever happened to her? Oh man." He's been that guy for years now. Bounty Gate, of course, is another example of why I can't stand the guy, but there's other reasons from stuff he's wrote here and there.

I don't think he's a writer for the Saints because he likes the Saints or even enjoys covering the team or sports. He just knows how to type and at this point in his life his only means of employment is tied to the Saints. I wish he'd find a hobby that paid him well enough to do whatever Richards do when not annoying people. I'd just prefer he was far away from the Saints.

He's still not done. He's hurting his chance at playing elsewhere IMHO.

I don’t think he’s hurting it at all. Someone will appreciate that mentality. Like Sean use to

Somebody who actually uses X

Did that, in the mid 1980's, before it was made illegal. But I still do hope to attend a dance rave, even at my advanced age.

As for the social media platform, we all still call it twitter and tweeting. I would never call it what the megalomaniac owner calls it.

Carry on.

I’ve been highly critical of this coaching staff and front office. Saying that Mike is still a moron and I have zero respect for him personally or as a player. It pains me internally that some “fans” even mention him with the consummate professional that is Marques Colston. I guess every fan base has them but this ones are special to say the least.

You know him personally?
