Saints sign Safety Justin Reid to a 3-year, $31.5 million deal (133 Viewers)

Seriously beginning to wonder if some of these guys are fans of other teams that are just here to troll Saints fans.
I know who they are. They are the ones that complain about everything no matter what. You could give them the best player in the league and they would find something to complain about. I learned a long time ago to stay away from these people. Yes, I know exactly who they are.

I'm hoping we can sign Becton and then keep Lucas Patrick in that role of a backup interior lineman. I'd feel really good about our line then. If that happens coming out of the draft with a 3rd tackle would turn our offensive line into a strong point of the team.
Yea that would be sweet. Losing McCoy literally lost the season. We can’t let that happen again. (Last year we didn’t have a backup center on the roster at all.). Unless you can offset the loss of talent with a super talent upgrade at OG. I’m not sure it that a logical possibility tho

Yup, if everyone can’t agree on this, then there is no hope for us.
This and Godchaux are legitimately good moves at positions of need.

I can see debate over young(even though I think it’s a fine move) and Juwan(not terribly thrilled tbh) but I’d say loomis this far has done more good than bad for sure.

He just needs to finish it by signing either Becton(or someone in the ballpark) and maybe a decent vet CB then after that you can prepare for the draft.

Y'all said the same stuff last offseason, and the year before that, and the year before that, etc.

Just maybe we are the ones that are right about our current situation.
No one on here ever really believed that the Saints under DA was going to do much. Yeah, they made a good signing or two here and there and hit on one or two draft picks but most knew we were a rudderless, left dead in the water team under DA

Reid and Godchaux are dope. Personally, I didn’t want a good number to return bc they did not move the needle. We can’t sit here and say “well they were the best we had last year”. Last year was terrible. I would’ve turned the page so fast on some of these dudes.

The best part about it, is that the dude should already be in the HOF. According to ESPN.com, he already has 272.5 career sacks :)

Reid, 28, joined the Chiefs in 2022 as a free agent. A full-time starter in three seasons in Kansas City, he had 3 interceptions, 4 sacks and 265 sacks in 51 regular-season games. He also filled in on kickoff duties for the Chiefs in 2022 and '24, handling 16 kickoffs total.

Reid also had 1.5 sacks in 10 playoff games, winning two championships in Kansas City.

Before joining the Chiefs, Reid played four seasons for the Houston Texans, who picked him in the third round of the 2018 NFL draft out of Stanford. Reid had seven interceptions and two sacks with the Texans.

There's a higher chance to rebuild through the draft than whatever the heck we are doing. 20 years of losing too many games we get into the playoffs and winning too many games to get an elite prospect doesn't sound much better.
That’s not correct. The chances of a successful rebuild are extremely slim to almost non-existent. Just look at the Bears, Browns, Raiders, Cardinals, Jags, NYJets, the Lions before hitting on Dan Campbell.

The teams that hit on the rebuild…hit on either HC or QB or both. Not that many teams have nailed it.

Would rather TRY to win and bridge with a soft rebuild for the next 2-3 years before turning everything over the youngins. And I think most on here feel the same way.

Exactly

I’m not going to lie I didn’t see this coming, I didn’t think a player of his caliber would want to come to the Saints.
