Should have kept Jameis (2 Viewers)

No, we shouldn’t have kept Jameis. He is who he’s always been - inconsistent.
The only time he played better was under Payton’s direction. He was more focused and successful with Sean.
Otherwise, he tries to play the hero, launching YOLO balls into triple coverage.

I mean, I was among the biggest JW fans on the board, he's not here any longer.....I'm still a fan and wish him well unless he's playing the Saints....

With the right OC and offense I think JW could be a quality starter, I think CSP was on his way to proving that until the injury happened....we will see what happens from here on out....
This is my view as well; coaching and scheming. I knew he had to go after the Atlanta game but didn't understand going to Cleveland, until I read about Stefanski and Dorsey. He is a perfect scheme fit (Shanahan-Kubiak + Erhardt-Perkins is crazy..lol) and I guess his gamble paid off. Like you said, we'll see what happened from here. Outside a few weeks from now, hope the best for him..lol

Could have had Jameis plus 20 mil in oline and receiving help

Instead we got Carr with nobody to throw to and nobody to blockf or him. Winston won them the game vs the Ravens.

Then again, we almost got Watson so could be worse
Where do you get this crap from? I'm glad you're not running the team

I'm so glad Jameis blew off DA and called a TD for Williams last season. Took balls which nobody on the staff has.
Balls like Payton letting the Saints run the score up on the Vikings Christmas Day so AK could reach his bonus. DA doesn’t think like that because he has no leadership did AK need 6 TD’s? no but he got his bonus and it was fun. Did we tell the Vikings we were sorry after that one? Nope

At this point I’m convinced you are Jameis Winston or a family member. Literally no one but you maybe not even Jameis himself would consider putting him in the same class as Lamar Jackson. You’re creating layers to this topic that arent there because Jameis had one good week.
I am 💯 that he is without doubt Jameis Winston. First off no one but the actual player would know some of the stuff he is saying. We all follow the game but he knows specific throws and what the read consepts were on the play. Not to mention the hyper specific stats he is using.

Personally I love it. What makes me believe it is him because Winston still posting stuff on a saints fan board even if he is on another team is just about exactly what I would expect him to do. I believe him to be one of the truest human beings in the game and I want him to succeed and thrive because the nfl needs more players like him that actually and truly care.

For all of you making fun of keeping Jameis and saving 30 million dollars a year......

Here's a fact:

Jameis win percentage as a starter 43%
Derek Carr win percentage as a starter 45%

Yeah there is no difference between the two. They are both average, one is just more highly paid.

Not understanding the logic there....he threw a few, what should have been picks, and came within a butterfingers chance at the game sealing one on the go ahead drive.

It's opinions like that, that make me SUPER glad it's someone else controlling what happens with this team, and NOT it's fanbase. Wow....

I always thought JW had what it took to be a solid backup in the league. Going into the season with no viable backup was stupid.

I agree with this. I'm not finding Derek Carr's play to be distinguishable from Winston.

Appreciate the shoutout confirming I know ball....lol

Inquiring minds would like to know how that is working out for us....

People hate Jameis on here and would rather Nathan peterman to start instead. Smh

That's the part that kills me...they complain about what he did and boast about how much better DC is.....but where are the results. Through 11 games last season he had 10 TDs...10 in 11 games...mid as hell yet he got paid 4x as much.

no since in crying over spilled milk but gd the double standard applied is obvious as hell. Probably part of the reason why you see so much discontent in the LR

DC isn't light years better than Jameis by any stretch....but DA was never going to play Jameis for.....reasons......

That said I think DC is the least of our problems, he was one of the best "bridge" option QBs available at the time....

The part that bothered me most was it all gave off the appearance that he'd rather lose (and he did) with Dalton than possibly win with Winston.

What's done is done and I agree that Carr is not the future...but it sucks that we're tied to "not the future" for the foreseeable future

Welcome to purgatory peeps!
