Silo on Apple TV (1 Viewer)

My thought is they're feeling her out. An outsider appearing would have to be one of the most jarring experiences - now they know she's skilled, and I have a feeling she's about to obtain another unwanted side quest. I do wish they hadn't leaned so hard on the bends though, there had to be a better way to get that in there without making it over the top obvious like that.

I'm thinking they probably couldn't kill Solo without an alternate way to get into the IT vault, and they may now think they have it. That may look like Solo being a hostage, or being dead with Jules breaking into IT being her price to get out. Either way, I would think she finds some valuable information in there.

We can now venture a guess Solo acts like a paranoid loon because there is actually something out there to be paranoid about
I'd also guess they have tried to get into IT more than once, hence the damage to the locking mechanism and the bodies (which I have been thinking since we first got here)

Lukas and the tunnel being her way out seems like the way the story will go though.
Solid points. I agree treading lightly and observing make sense. We have ample reasons to doubt Solo, he's not even that guy lol! Be pretty wild if the actual Solo was the one trying to get back into the vault. We also have seen the child classroom that had all the codes on the chalkboard--a clear attempt to run through possible passwords.

Wanted to add - I think our watchers are the “good guys”

I am not ruling it out--at least compared to our Solo...
But whomever this is...they have attempted to murder Juliette 2x now, so I am not convinced they are 'good'

Yeah, there is that...for as much as he knows about the Silo--he likely doesn't know why they were even created or what happened to cause the state of the outside world...he also definitely did not seem to know about the tunnel down below. He also obviously isn't above lying to preserve the status quo and has taken quite a bit to murder lately.
This was just a loaded episode!
The legacy was about what I presumed...but still a great reveal
I think Lukas is heading down (to the tunnel) next week to continue his quest
We should also get to meet whomever is left in #17 and took out Solo--it may well be a group of people, too? Given what we know about how IT and Judicial have outside power sources, it's plausible enough that someone/group is living several floors up from IT vault with power and a food supply. Darn near the entire Silo died in one day or so, plenty of food stores and supplies would be left. They also seem to have tactically waited until Jules got the power connected and pump running, or at least it seems like that?
Had a fair amount of blood with a trail heading up, a hatchet and a primitive looking arrow...
Also Jules will likely have to deal with some decompression sickness hitting her soon.
Sims v Bernard with Camille as a total wildcard is setting up...
Very hyped for next week!
I think/hope Camille is our wild card - she knows she's smarter than Sims and Bernard - it would make sense if she tried to make an alliance with Lukas, but he's ... siloed ... so not sure how she gets to him
but she has the curiosity that Bernard was wanting in Sims - I think she takes whatever opportunity presents itself

imma keep tracking 'parallels' between Lukas and Solo - Solo having this seemingly extraneous information (fish, bends, circus) might foreshadow Lukas's eventual discoveries

Knox & Shirley are not going to end well

I was using "good guys" as a placeholder for "group who shares the same ideas as the rebels and/or would have been considered on the right side"

Mostly because I couldn't think of a shorter way to say it :hihi:

I've long thought that there aren't many others -if any- still operational...maybe one that controls the power distribution and/or one that has the real people in charge...
It is nice to have a firmed up scope of how long they've been going, but it's still probably debatable-- IF the memory drug is actually what they claim it is. I will assume the working dates are gospel now, though.
It was more of a split episode, which was much smoother than the earlier ones, as far as transitions and overall advancement of the story.
Bernard was finally given a break by figuring out Walker...
The end reveal in 17 was NUTS!! Someone else was actually lurking around still?!?!
seems too many people come back from the memory loss drug tho .
i don't think Bernard is lying or "remembers" 352 years. i don't think that would be too easy to manipulate in all that info in the vault.

Yeah, I guess it depends on IF someone is actively 'running' the info provided to the legacy...we already know that versions of books can vary from silo to silo, as Solo noted the difference when talking to Juliette about the ending of Romeo and Juliette.

I am sure answers will come in due time...but it won't be for awhile yet

it's really beginning to feel like it will be s3 where the start peeling away the secrets/mysteries of the silos

Sure does...we'll get some reveals yet, no doubt...but most of the bigger mysteries (other Silos beyond 17/18) won't be getting touched until well into 3. At this point I am just hoping that Jules gets back into 18...I thought for sure it would be thru the bottom tunnel and involve Lukas...but now with another side quest looming it might not be in the cards?

so the Silo was built 352 years ago.
i was thinking more, but that can put an uprising every 75 years or so..
i am wondering how many other Silos have gone outside and ended up like 17 and how many are still going?
So I threw it back on this morning because a: why not b: I wanted to check out some of the camera things that were mentioned

The phrasing here may be important too, he says they were built 352 years ago, not they were occupied 352 years ago. Also 352 years from when he read it, or today? I’d assume as of today due to his nature, but you could ask the same of the source material.

Anyway, just something I thought about.

Additionally, the scraps of paper Meadows read aren’t the same from the trailer, are they? Didn’t those say “Juliet lives”, or am I mistaken?

I realize it’s an Apple show, but an iPad lasting 3.5 centuries?!?!?

Is it possible that the vault AIs can communicate between silos?
