Enjoyed the entire season immensely.

I wasn’t hot on the Kirk casting. I didn’t like him on Vampire Diaries either. In this case it didn’t “feel” like Kirk at all. If they wouldn’t have said it was him it would have never dawned on me.

My wife got pissed and kept saying, "Kirk has Blue eyes!!!"

Remember back in the day when Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa had their massive homerun season and they just kept cranking balls out the yard? Well, I felt like the writers were taking inspiration from that because they have been hammering moonshots out into the parking lot. This season finale was terrific. This whole season has been incredible. I said it earlier in the thread, but this feels like mid-series TNG when it really hit its stride......and we're only one season in! They just wrapped production on season 2, so as long as they keep up the quality, I don't see why we can't have several more seasons before we arrive at Pike's fate.

Alternate future Pike wearing the Monster Maroon uniform! Loved it!

Romulans galore in this one and it was excellent to see them back on screen.

Forking Scottie!! Yes, hell yes!

Kirk's actor didn't feel right to me, but that's probably my brain just not fully accepting him in the role. I'm fine with a slightly different take on the character, so I'm okay with seeing him again if that happens.

Now that Hemmer is toast, I believe I'm gonna need me some more of that Nurse Chapel screen time, please. Jess Bush is a cutie.

Just floored, impressed, happy . . . oh, so very happy that they finally made an episodic Star Trek series that is really good. I enjoy Picard and Discovery as entertaining, but this is the Star Trek that I grew up watching.

The way they told this story in the finale . . . using many of the same lines as the TOS episode, Balance of Terror. Even the opening marriage scene! The way this story was told was just fantastic in so many ways.

Just had to watch Balance of Terror from the original series. That episode has held up really well over the decades.

Looks like the Klingons have their TNG look, and with that, they have erased Discovery. While I know I'm in the minority here but I don't hate Discovery, I just hated their Klingons and their over-the-top stories didn't help out much either. It does create another problem though, they don't line up with the TOS look.

At least for now they can just go back to Worf's original explanation of their differences from TOS to TNG:

"We do not discuss it with outsiders."
