A Texas woman who killed her friend and ripped her baby out of the womb has been sentenced to death.

A Bowie County jury handed down a death penalty for Taylor Rene Parker, 29, after two hours of deliberations on Wednesday, CNN reported.

In early October, the same jury found Parker guilty of murder and capital murder in the death of Reagan Simmons-Hancock, 21, and the theft and death of her unborn baby on 9 October 2020.

Parker, who had been faking a pregnancy out of fear that her boyfriend would leave her, stabbed Simmons-Hancock more than 100 before removing her baby from the womb with a scalpel.

She was later caught during a traffic stop after leaving the crime scene in New Boston and told police she gave birth by the side of the road.

The baby girl was taken to a hospital in Idabel, Oklahoma, where she died……

For those who don't know, Pflugerville is an eastern suburb of Austin.

A white Pflugerville ISD teacher was placed on leave after a video posted online showed him telling Black students his race is “superior,” according to KXAN-TV.

“Deep down in my heart, I am ethnocentric,” the unidentified teacher told students at Bohls Middle School. “Which means I think my race is the superior one.”

In a letter obtained by KXAN, Bohls Middle School Principal Sharon Churchin told parents the teacher was placed on leave pending the outcome of an investigation. “This interaction does not align with our core beliefs as a district,” the letter said. “The video of the conversation includes statements that we find wholly inappropriate.”

The letter appeared to praise the students for speaking up for themselves.


“We always do our best to ensure the safety of all students; we encourage them to be self-advocates and let an adult know when something is wrong, as they did in this situation; this could be to a parent, a teacher, or a counselor,” Churchin wrote. “If you see something, say something.”

I'm surprised this isn't being talked about from the perspective that Texans likely believe this teacher - if white - is being attacked and silenced simply for being white.

Just wait. In another news cycle that governor will be marching down Congress with a banner supporting this teachers right to be a white racist.

Apparently this citizen was "surfing" the trailer of the big rig while it was moving at speed down the interstate. The truck then went under a bridge which knocked the man off and onto the freeway. He succumbed to his injuries... 😵‍💫
