Still in the beginning of the third season but I'm really liking it so far. Still not on Farscape's level but definitely enjoyable.

Just finished watching the whole thing. I thought it was good but not great. It doesn't come close to Farscape.

I loved The Expanse and am now trying to get into Farscape. Having a hard time so far.

Yeah. kind of seems like someone is in love with Farscape. NTTAWWT

The Expanse is a better acted, scripted, and produced. Farscape wasn't terrible, but it's not even close to as good as The Expanse for me.

IDK how many episodes of Farscape I watched, but it was a few seasons worth. After all of that, it's utterly forgettable and the plot too far drawn out to be cohesive. The whole feel was that it couldn't decide if it wanted to be a farce or serious and it failed at both because of it. YMMV

Halfway through the ninth book and will be sad when there are no more.

It would be great to have three more seasons, but the actors would need to age 30 years. Maybe they are just waiting a bit?

I listened to the last 3 on my commute mostly
But I finished the last one while walking the track at my school - that whole two miles was an emotional assault - happysad punches raining down all morning

btw all of the short stories are in a collection on audiobook- I’ll start that in the Fall

They are good too. I am reading them in order along with the main books so still have not read the last. They cover some of the odd bits of the show, like the kids with the repair drones, Epstein inventing his drive, Amos in Baltimore, etc.

Seriously, though, I think it's just a question of whether they think it's a good investment to make the last three into seasons or not. It always comes down to money.

Just make it to the introduction of Scorpius, that's around episode 15 or 17.

I pretty much disagree with everything you just said. The episode where they all switched bodies was excellently acted. If people could actually swap bodies they wouldn't have acted any differently, that's how good they are. That's just one episode.

The ostensible reason for the time jump is to have the advancement of Laconia more believable
The characters aren’t aging thatthat much bc medicine keeps healing them
I think you could hand wave a 10-15 year time jump and it’s believable enough
(Especially since the tv series kind of ya da dad Drummer being president of Transport Union)
