What's lazy about hiring a great actor? They're going to have to explain why he looks like Iron Man, so to me that's the opposite of lazy. They're creating more work for themselves by hiring RDJ for a role that's not Iron Man.

Yeah, he likely screwed himself out of multiple 9 figures. One of the all time forkups..

As for the RJD thing, I absolutely would never bet against him, so I'm gonna wait and see. What goes without saying is Marvel is swinging for the fences in the run up to the next set of Avengers movies.

His performance will be fine - he’s a good to great performer
But he won’t be a great victor von doom

And for the record, the lines to get into Hall H for the Star Trek, The Penguin, and MCU panels were insane. They had canopies outside that were completely packed and started to go around the back of the convention center. Just insane.
