I was a freshman in highschool. It happened during social studies class. Of course the principal felt the need to lie to us and tell us that what we saw didn't happen. Like we weren't going to hear all about it on the news after school.

Same thing in fourth grade when Reagan was shot. The teachers felt the need to lie to us about it all day like we weren't going to watch it on the news when we got home.

A friend of mine, along with 3 others, owned a Piper Cherokee for 35 years. One of the group finally opted out and they accepted a new guy in ( I think they actually formed a company of 3 to operate the plane) but this guy was a hotdog and my buddy was wary of him. I don't remember what it was , but there was something you were not supposed to do on landing or you risked a crash. The other three told the guy not to do it but he did it anyway and wrecked the plane beyond repair. Scott was heartbroken. We had actually taken quite a few flights in that plane over the years, and he would let me fly it once aloft.

Yep. I was 21 and still on my first ship, forward deployed to the ME. I read the news on a teletype. We were crossing thru the Straits of Hormuz entering the Persian Gulf on our way to "homeport" in Bahrain.

I was a freshman in high school and we had a snow day that day. We were all hanging in the basement and a friend came over and said that the space shuttle blew up. We said, "No. It blasts off idiot."

He said, "No, IT BLEW UP!" We all went upstairs to the TV and well, we all know rest.

38 years....... Good Lord.....

i think i may just be grumpy, but why in the fork do manufacturers think everyone wants their sheetty plastic products shiny? keep that matte so it doesn't show every forking scratch known to man. same sheet goes for anything electronic. no one wants that rgb club light up bullshirt.
