UnitedHealth CEO shot (1 Viewer)

dude who just killed a guy: 'i killed this guy because our capitalist health care system sucks'

NBC: 'OMG!! this guy played video games!!!'

Yes, that - but also the presentation of Among Us being the "assassin game" is so wildly stupid. As you know, there's some pretty realistic assassin games out there . . . but Among Us? Lol it's so ridiculous.

It's equally as ridiculous as a sports reporter saying it's not surprising that a driver made it to F1 because his friends recall he liked playing Mario Kart.

😂😂😂😂What needs to happen to some people to wake them up to the fact that it's an exclusive club, and we'll never be in it. No amount of boot licking or squealing will get them to accept you.

That story just reinforces my thought that there is something fishy going on.

A younger generation that has grew up thru the aftermath of 9/11 to multiple financial crisis and a pandemic is largely unsympathetic to a system where no matter how hard they work, 1 accident can cripple you if the insurance company decides one day to just drop the f.bomb on you.

These people are just entering their early to mid 20's and are already beaten down and wonder whether or not they'll ever get ahead in a country where the wealth divide and cost of living just keeps rising out of reach for many.

The best description of journalism i ever saw was something like (badly paraphrased): "Journalists are interlopers writing as experts about things they do not remotely understand."

And yet again we see that in action.

Any time I've read an article that covers something where I actually have some knowledge, it's invariably wrong in some key respect or omits key facts. I try to keep that in mind when reading (or, even worse, watching) news about events where I don't have any prior knowledge.
