I'm an old-school Metallica fan. After ...And Justice For All album, I just couldn't get into their albums that followed, anymore. Not that I hate their material, it's just not the Metallica I loved since I was a kid. AJFA was their last great album, imo.

The Black album is awesome, especially the DVD-Audio version. I wish all their earlier albums would be released on DVD-Audio.

The Sword's new album is out tomorrow but I haven't been too much on what I've heard from it. So here's something from when they were in their prime.

The Black album is awesome, especially the DVD-Audio version. I wish all their earlier albums would be released on DVD-Audio.

I'd settle for a recording of Ride the Lightning without all the crazy reverb, or AFJA with some actual bass. Even Master of Puppets could be better although they did get the mix mostly right.
