So DC has announced that James Tynion IV and Tony Daniel will be taking over Batman in January once King is done in December. As much as I'm on board with this, I'm a little concerned this will just be a short run until #100 before he's replaced with a relaunch.

Powers of X #5 looks like it's setting up for a big finish in the last two issues of each title. The next two weeks will be interesting.

No, didn't hear that, but I've pretty much stayed away from any and all speculation on what's coming up.

I'm in the middle of the Spidey series, "Spider-Man Life Story". Haven't started the new X-Men stuff yet. Not a huge X-Men fan and tend to put it off, but y'all have convinced me to get started on it after I'm through.

Didn't try Life Story, but I've heard mixed thoughts.

My opinion is mixed, too. I like the art so there's that. But the stories are ok at best. An attempt at doing an iconic story (with artistic license) from each decade showing Petey as he ages.

Not bad enough to put down. Not good enough to be excited about.

Marauders is just such a weird concept that I have to give it a shot. The mutant merchant marines of Krakoa sponsored by the Hellfire Club and getting into high seas shenanigans? I can't pass that up.

Nope, I don't recall any mention of him either when I was looking at the #1's coming up and deciding which I wanted. Hmmm.

This isn't the first time they've done something like this. Most recently, Marvel has done it as well.

They'll do this, eventually revert most characters to their status quo and keep a few around if they seemed particularly popular as legacy characters. I'm actually kind of rolling my eyes that they're going back to this same well AGAIN, but on the other hand they've basically been doing this since the dawn of the Silver Age so it's part of their corporate legacy to some extent. Just DC doing DC things.
