2024 Tropical Weather Thread (5 Viewers)

00z GFS had a Katrina size major hurricane hitting near Panama City. The 06z has a storm similar to Milton hitting the West Coast of Florida near election day which would be so much fun for all the conspiracies.
That's unpossible. The end of hurricane season is tomorrow. All storms must cease and desist. That's how it works.

Hurricane season ends Nov 30,not Nov. 1.

SST's in the GOM are still warm enough to support tropical development.

Is this supposed to clear it up for me? Is the end of hurricane season December 1st? Or is it November 30rd? Do we gain a day tonight?

Hurricane season in the Atlantic basin includes the month of November. They can still form in the winter months under the right conditions. The calender is just a guideline

Flag on the sneaky edit to make it look like you didn't think November had 31 days.

Therefore, extra mansplaining egregiously disingenuous.

I think we should give all the fall/winter months 31 days and the summer months 28 days (heck even 20 days)
It would keep summers shorter and may even help reduce global climate change
