Why does graph look like Heat Miser?

Not if a tree falls on it and I have to pay an $8,000 deductible to fix it after I just shelled out $15k to put it on, lol.

Next spend $2000 and take that tree down.

Or spend $3 on a gallon of gas and a pack of matches.

😁

Problem is, my house is surrounded by trees. There's probably 10 different trees that could fall on my house if things went sideways, lol.

Fine $10 on gas and a lighter lol

I'm sure this storm will be minimal based on estimates. Not sure how inland you are, but if over 100 miles from coast, I wouldn't stress.

Insurance.

That doesn't come up much around here anymore. I had kind of forgotten about house insurance.

We used to have it but the insurance companies were at first like zombies, and now even the zombies have packed up and are gone from the affected areas.

Zombie insurance is defined as insurance which disappears the moment you need it. Poof it was gone.

People who have a loan on their place have to buy this special sort of insurance the state sells for people like that, but those of us who own our places free and clear have the option to self insure.

The cost for that kind of very high risk insurance on my house would be about as much per year as you spent on your new roof. And it's very limited about the coverage it does give. It's more about the mortgage loan getting payed off than it is about insuring the owner from a large measure of loss.

Forest fire is our big problem, however we do have very large trees. If a tree around here falls on a house it usually squisses the house flat. The roof part wouldn't be a large concern.

I hope a tree doesn't fall on your new roof.
