Now that I am part of the breakthrough infection scene, I started digging on what the science says about it on a go-forward basis. It's early days yet but looks like a few studies have found 'super immunity' after breakthrough infections. Let's go

Pre Covid, I’ve been known to stop walking behind someone who was coughing. Open doors with napkins or sleeves when wearing long sleeves. Use hand sanitizer after pumping gas and using a grocery cart.I consider myself vaccinated and careful, but that’s not really a stretch for me. I don’t mind a mask for stores and stuff. Wife had a breakthrough case and I didn’t get it so I think I’m ok. But people are gross so I will still be a little careful.
Of all the minutiae I think that we’ve lost of common sense. Staying home while sick trumps absolutely everything. Masks? Vaccinations? Testing? Treatments? It’s all completely pointless if people are just going to go out in the community while sick. Heck…completely disregard everything else. For that matter…don’t even get tested. Take a non-COVID related absence for a few days until you feel better.I can understand if unvaccinated; but, if they aren't going to pay me, I'm coming in.
Well said. 100%CDC guidelines say to pay sick leave for your employees. Employers are just picking and choosing while protocol tenets to follow. And of all of the recommendations, that is the one that makes the most sense. Don’t make people choose between providing for their families and possibly infecting co-workers. Family is going to win out almost every time.

As long as you (or somone) will reimburse me for lost wages, we're good. ;-)Of all the minutiae I think that we’ve lost of common sense. Staying home while sick trumps absolutely everything. Masks?
