Ginsberg with Tim Ryan and Pat Kirwan (2 Viewers)

I wish Saints could get back their 2nd round pick from 2012 for 2013 if Goodell admits he made a mistake

A 2nd is worth a 1st so they can Easily give us a 1st round compensatory pick at 27 and push everyone back just like they took our 27th in the 2nd round and pushed everyone forward.

Could someone repost it somewhere I don't have to sign up for something? If it's not to much trouble? I would have logged in with twitter or facebook but it said 4shared would be able to update my profile, which seemed a bit odd.

If Goddell overreached on the evidence, he needs to be fired. Suspensions reduced. There was a pay for performance, so they have to be suspensions.

Payton 4 games, Vitt 2 games, Mickey 4 games. Vilma 3 games, hargrove 2 games, Fujita 1 game and williams 2 games. All draft picks returned and an extra 1 awarded for falsely accusing Saints of trying to hurt people and ruinning their reps.

Very interesting piece and it sounds like they are building a legal case for slander if they cannot get an answer via arbitration. Only thing Ginsberg seemed to get stuck on was the "conduct detrimental" thing and whether the commish has to provide evidence of such under the new CB agreement. The commish screwed this up royally trying this case in the media and now it appear to be backfiring. I guess we shall see.

Finally, don't we know who the snitch is? I thought it was a former QC coach who was fired after the 2009 season and remained bitter because he could not find another job in the league and blamed Loomis and Payton.

Yeah I wonder what they know... wish they could say.

I know that no lawsuit will be filed until the appeal is ruled upon but how long do you think it's gonna take for a court case to go to trial??? I don't know if I'm asking the right question.......would or could there be a fast track to get this resolved before the season?

Even though the case would be in federal court, which is MUCH faster than a state court, looking at a year absolute minimum. Discovery alone (interrogatories, request for production of 18,000 documents, depositions, etc) would likely take well over a year. If the NFLPA can get it into a courtroom, ala StarCaps, I'll be floored if Vilma, Hargrove, Fujita, & Smith don't play the entire 2012-13 and possibly 2013-14 season before any kind of verdict would be reached.

I really don't think this case will ever see a court. Remember, the only reason the Starcaps saw a court was because of a possible conflict of federal and state law involving the NFL's drug testing policy and the state of Minnisota's work place drug testing statutes. I think the CBA will keep this internal.

Goodell has done more than just handed out ridiculous suspensions and punishments without solid evidence, he essentially ruined a brand and damaged the reputation of this organization. This could have more far reaching consequences because for some perception is reality, so games may be won or loss because of a suspect call that stems directly from this. Goodell is playing a very dangerous game and this could all blow up right in his face.

Vilma's attorney.

I wish more posters would put complete information in their original post instead of just naming people by first or last names. It takes someone to ask who the subject of the thread was. Not all of us are TOTALLY literate on all things Saints. I keep up as well as I can but I didn't know who this guy was.

This is Ginsberg:

"I saw the best coaches and players of my generation destroyed by Goodell,
fined, suspended, disgraced, dragging their names through the mud at dawn
looking for a phantom fix."
