I don’t disagree.
I’m in the minority in that I believe Haener is a better QB than Rattler. I also think that neither will ever be successful starters in the league. If one does happen to make it, I think it will be Jake.
Zero belief in Rattler.
Well, there were more than a handful in Lafayette/Breaux Bridge who became Carolina fans because of Jake. They're mostly all Who dats now tho. It's really not all that different from Sam Mills fans. One QB never grew and was all Talent, the other QB grew and developed into a better QB because talent only gets you so far. I played with and have known plenty of people that rely on only talent and never have the discipline to hone their craft and become the greatest... hell it's why we don't even think about Shaq as the greatest player all time. He could have been if he had the drive of MJ and Kobe.... but he got by on talent alone. Now he cries that no one every talks about him when they talk about the best ever.
As for cheering for Jake in Carolina, those people aren't Saints fans and nothing they can do or say will change that. The only Panty you could "cheer" for is Sam Mills and you didn't cheer for him, you were just sad he is now the enemy.
Correct. The dome got ugly. I'd be banned for typing some of the stuff I heard in there. The Brooks vs. Delhomme war was over the top crazy. People totally dug in. Much worse than we have seen since.
Uhh...the Delhomme vs Brooks arguments always left me scratching my head. Brooks was mostly ever good when throwing to Horn and Delhomme was mostly only good when throwing to Steve Smith.
The truth is they were both not good and I found it highly amusing fans were arguing between two quality backup QBs.
Lol, both were legitimate starters. Jake played well enough to lead the Panthers to the Super Bowl and probably wins it if not for the dumb ending. And his numbers in the full seasons he played were decent enough.the Delhomme vs Brooks arguments always left me scratching my head. Brooks was mostly ever good when throwing to Horn and Delhomme was mostly only good when throwing to Steve Smith.

Yes he has different arm slots but non of his slots/angles mimic Brees...Haener can throw from different angles, this happens to be one of them.
I'm not convinced either Haener or Rattler is not the answer. I'm still intrigued and excited about both. I also, don't understand how so many here on locked in one so adamantly. We don't have a good read on either for a host of reasons, yet strong conclusions are being thrown about. I'm good with Haener as the starter and if I'm in Rizzi's shoes, that would be my call, as well. And like many, I feel that the ceiling in higher for Rattler and possibly better as a long-term prospect. As for the QBs coming out of this draft, I like our pair better than even the top prospects.I'm not sold on Carr being the guy who could take us to a SuperBowl in the future, even if we were loaded at every position.
I would prefer for us to start a new QB next year.
Unfortunately, I don't see Haener or Rattler as the answer either.
It's kind of depressing knowing we don't currently have an answer on the roster.
Or Carr.lol he’d be doing the exact same with Rattler starting.
I hope you’re right.I'm not convinced either Haener or Rattler is not the answer. I'm still intrigued and excited about both. I also, don't understand how so many here on locked in one so adamantly.
